NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday the 24th

NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday the 24th

The NBA season is still trucking along with the All-Star break slowly approaching. Tonight we have six games for Fanduel, while DraftKings has eight to work with during what the NBA is calling “Rivals Week.” Who will fit into your DFS lineups tonight? Here are some of the best options tonight.

For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.

NBA Quick Links

Point Guard

LaMelo Ball (FD: $9,800, DK: $9,600): The Charlotte Hornets just made a big move by trading away Terry Rozier over to the Miami Heat for Kyle Lowry. However, the Hornets have no intentions of playing Lowry, which gives LaMelo Ball even more time with the ball in his hands. The Hornets are going to have to play LaMelo a lot more tonight against the worst team in the league. LaMelo should be the number one guard you select for tonight.

Dejounte Murray (DK: $8,400): One of the hottest names on the trade market is Dejounte Murray. The Atlanta Hawks are on the decline this season and might need to move on from Murray to get some picks and re-tool around Trae Young. However, Trae Young is out tonight, as he is dealing with a concussion. Murray will move over to the point guard role and have a high usage rate tonight.

Shooting Guard

Jaden Ivey (FD: $7,500, DK: $6,900): The Detroit Pistons are having an all-time awful season, but Jaden Ivey is a tiny bright spot. Injuries have plagued their guards all season long with Ivey being one of the healthy ones. He has been called upon to be a point guard at times, or shifting over to shooting guard and get buckets for them. He has been a consistent DFS player as of late as well. He has scored 25+ fantasy points in his last eight games.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (DK: $6,000): With Trae Young out tonight, Bogdan Bogdanovic moves into the starting lineup. He has been solid during Young’s absence, which should continue tonight. I think for his price and opportunity, he is a good play tonight, along with Murray.

Small Forward

Deni Avdija (FD: $6,300, DK: $6,100): Deni Avdija has been pretty good as of late for the Washington Wizards. He has been an all-around positive for a team looking for anything positive this year. Deni has had at least 20 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games. The matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves is troublesome, but the value is there if you are looking at higher prices for other positions.

Jabari Walker (FD: $5,800): The Portland Trail Blazers are clearly tanking. They are giving tons of young guys, who you wouldn’t usually see, a chance to carve out some minutes. Jabari Walker is one of the those players benefiting from opportunities. He’s had a few 30 point fantasy nights over his last 10 games. Walker is a steal on DFS boards.

Power Forward

Kevin Durant (FD: $10,000, DK: $9,300): The Dallas Mavericks have no one that can matchup with Kevin Durant tonight. KD should have a big night and not defer to Devin Booker, which he can do on some nights. I can see KD scoring 30+ points against the Mavs if he truly goes for it. He is one of the best players on the board tonight.

Georges Niang (FD: $4,700, DK: $4,000): The last time Georges Niang faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks, he had an astounding 41 points. The Bucks are in disarray right now after firing their head coach. Furthermore, Niang has also received 20+ minutes over the last three games. Niang is such a cheap option that you have to play him for your DFS lineup.

Center

Jalen Duren (FD: $7.200. DK: $6.800): Jalen Duren has been one of, if not the biggest, bright spot for the Pistons this season. The year has been dismal, but Duren has shown that he is their center for the future. Tonight’s matchup against the Hornets is perfect for him. The Hornets are banged up on their frontline and will have to play small at times. Duren should be able to feast on the glass.

Jusuf Nurkic (FD & DK: $6,900): Jusuf Nurkic is one of the forgotten players on the Phoenix Suns. However, he has shown his value to the team, especially on the glass. His rebounding has been the key for a team that is on the smaller side. The Mavericks do not have a big front court and can get hurt by a big that can rebound. That is why Nurkic can have a big game tonight.
