Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young scored 13 straight points in the fourth quarter to lead his side to a 94-80 victory over Miami on Tuesday. He had 18 points in total on 5-for-12 shooting, with most of his field goals coming via the three-point line as he went a nice 4-for-9 from behind the arc. Young also posted his 16th double-double of the year with 10 assists, adding three rebounds and one steal with eight turnovers in 33 minutes. Young coughed up the ball a lot but still had a very efficient showing and will enter Wednesday's matchup against Orlando on a high. The Magic have an awful defensive record against opposing point guards, so this could turn into one of Young's special nights.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (adductor) will take the court on Sunday against the Heat. Young was listed as questionable, though he will be out there after struggling through Friday's game to the tune of 7-of-21 shooting. Still, he's largely been excellent this month and won't have a minutes restriction against Miami, so he should be back in all lineups, given that he's scored 25-plus points nine times this month.
Atlanta Hawks forward Danilo Gallinari (forearm) is listed as probable, while guard Trae Young (adductor) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Heat. It's unclear when Gallinari suffered the ailment, though it probably didn't hinder him much, considering that he broke the franchise record for threes in a game. Young's injury seems a bit more serious than Gallinari's, as he labored through a 7-for-21 shooting performance in 31 minutes of Friday's game. If Young is out, Kevin Huerter would have some DFS intrigue against a Heat team that struggles to defend the three-ball. Rajon Rondo would also see increased playmaking opportunities.
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was in fine form on Wednesday against Boston, finishing a 127-112 win with 33 points on 12-for-23 shooting. He went 5-for-11 from downtown and 4-for-5 at the charity stripe with seven assists, four rebounds, and one steal. Young has now dropped 28-plus points in five straight games. However, his streak will be under a serious threat on Friday, as Atlanta faces a Thunder team that's limited point guards to 40.6 percent shooting this season, and they are giving up the eighth-fewest points in the league to the position.
