Kyshawn George to Be Re-Evaluated in Three Weeks

Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (elbow) will be re-evaluated in three weeks. He has been diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his left elbow. George suffered the injury in Monday's loss to the Houston Rockets. If he can return in three weeks, George will be available for only about 10 more games this season. The 22-year-old has enjoyed a solid sophomore campaign, averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.0 steals in 29.0 minutes per game. Will Riley, Tre Johnson, and Justin Champagnie could all benefit from George's absence.

Kyshawn George Slated to Miss Thursday's Matchup With Jazz

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (elbow) won't play Thursday against the Utah Jazz. George will miss his second consecutive game due to a sprained left elbow. With George sidelined, 20-year-old rookie Will Riley should continue to see ample scoring opportunities, while Tre Johnson and Bilal Coulibaly are also expected to take on larger offensive roles during Thursday night's matchup in Washington.

Kyshawn George Will Face the Rockets

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (knee) will play on Monday versus Houston. The 2024 No. 24 overall pick missed two of the Wizards' last six games. While he'll be out there on Monday, he may get the night off on Tuesday in Orlando. George played well against the Rockets back in November, finishing that one with 16 points, nine assists, seven boards, two steals, and one block. Although it's hard to imagine he'll be as productive this time around, the upside is there.

Kyshawn George Could Miss Game Against Houston

Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (knee) is questionable for Monday's game against the Rockets after being limited to 15 minutes in Saturday's loss to Toronto. The second-year wing has averaged 29.1 minutes with a 21.7 percent usage rate as a starter, though his workload has fluctuated while managing the knee issue. If he sits, Will Riley and Justin Champagnie profile as short-term streamers. Riley posted 19 points in 35 minutes last game, while Champagnie added 12 points and three blocks in 22 minutes. Still, Washington's rotation remains difficult to trust due to inconsistent minute distribution.

Kyshawn George Ruled Out Against Atlanta

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (knee) was downgraded from questionable to out for Thursday night's matchup against the Hawks. George has been effective when available but has been in and out of the lineup with a variety of injuries. Now he's dealing with a left knee contusion, possibly suffered on Tuesday in a loss to the Hawks in the first game of this two-game set in Atlanta. Without him on Thursday, the Wizards will likely give more playing time to Justin Champagnie, Will Riley, and Jamir Watkins, who has his two-way contract converted to a standard deal earlier in the day.

Kyshawn George Questionable Thursday

Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (knee) has been tagged as questionable for Thursday's contest against the Atlanta Hawks. The 22-year-old sophomore led the starters with 11 points in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Hawks, but he may skip the rematch due to a left knee contusion. While George turned a lot of heads early in the season, his form has faded over the course of the season. Across February, he has averaged only 10.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Justin Champagnie could replace George in the first unit on Thursday, and he'll be worthy of some fantasy attention after averaging 12.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steals over his last six appearances.

Kyshawn George Won't Play on Friday

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (toe) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers. George suited up for Thursday's contest, but he appears to have suffered a toe sprain in the process. He finished with six points, three rebounds, and one assist in 19 minutes during Thursday's win. The Wizards have decided to play it safe during the second leg of the back-to-back set and hold out George on Friday. His absence should mean increased playing time for Justin Champagnie and Will Riley. Between the two, Champagnie is the better streaming option for Friday's slate.

Kyshawn George Sheds Questionable Tag, Will Play Against Cavaliers

Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (ankle) is off the injury report and will play Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 22-year-old sprained his ankle in the third quarter of Washington's last game versus the Miami Heat and did not return. George is enjoying a much-improved second professional season, although his play has slipped lately. He's averaging 8.7 points, two rebounds, and 2.7 assists in February, compared to season-long averages of 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.9 assists. Fellow Washington forward Bilal Coulibaly (heel) is also available for the Wizards tonight.

Kyshawn George Faces Questionable Tag vs. Cleveland

Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday against Cleveland after turning his ankle Sunday, adding another layer of uncertainty to a Washington rotation already trending toward late-season evaluation mode. If George or Bilal Coulibaly (heel) sits, minutes should open for Will Riley, who has responded when extended, averaging 18.2 points, 2.6 threes, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over his last five games. Jamir Watkins also gains fringe value. Riley profiles as a viable streamer, while George carries short-term risk in standard formats.

Kyshawn George is Ready to Go on Sunday

Washington Wizards guard Kyshawn George (knee) will suit up for Sunday's game against the Miami Heat. George sat out the front end of this back-to-back set due to a knee issue. It doesn't seem to be serious enough to hold him out of both games. His return to the rotation will send Will Riley back to the bench, while Keshon Gilbert sees a reduced role as well. George is averaging 15.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds across 30.5 minutes per game this season. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get George active in their lineups ahead of tip-off.
