Alexandre Sarr Questionable Against The Hornets

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's meeting with the Hornets. The rookie struggled on the offensive end to begin the year, but he's turned up the volume lately, averaging 15.5 points in February. Unfortunately, Sarr has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle. If he doesn't suit up, Richaun Holmes, who had 20 points in Wednesday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, should find a spot in most fantasy lineups. However, if Sarr is available, he's a must-start, especially with Jordan Poole (elbow) and Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) on the shelf.

Alexandre Sarr Questionable Wednesday

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) remains on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, with the team listing him as questionable for the matchup. He may be out of the lineup for a third consecutive game due to a left ankle sprain. Richaun Holmes has taken over as the starting center, providing decent fantasy value. He has averaged 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over the past two games. Tristan Vukcevic has seen more time off the bench with Sarr sidelined, but he hasn't been consistent with his performances.

Alexandre Sarr Out Of Action On Monday

Varun Shankar of The Washington Post reports that Washington Wizards forward Alexandre Sarr (ankle) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets as he is dealing with an ankle sprain. The 19-year-old big man didn't suit up on Sunday and has played in just two games out of the last 11. Richaun Holmes will likely stay in the starting center spot while Sarr is out of action. On Sunday versus the Magic, Holmes posted 11 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and four turnovers during 29 minutes on the floor.

Alexandre Sarr Questionable Monday Versus Nets

Washington Wizards forward Alexandre Sarr (ankle) has been tagged as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets while he continues to deal with an ankle sprain. The rookie big man was unable to play on Sunday and has played in just two games out of the last 11. If Sarr is forced to remain on the sidelines, Richaun Holmes would likely stay in the starting center spot. On Sunday, Holmes posted 11 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and four turnovers across 29 minutes. Tristan Vukcevic saw 19 minutes off of the bench, so he could also get some added opportunities.

Alexandre Sarr Returns To Action Wednesday

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) will be back in action on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers. After spraining his left ankle, Sarr missed eight games. Richaun Holmes has enjoyed a decent run as the starting center but will likely return to a bench role for Wednesday's matchup. Tristan Vukcevic's position in the rotation will also be under threat. Sarr has struggled with inconsistency during his rookie season, with his shooting efficiency being his Achilles' heel. However, the 19-year-old has posted respectable numbers, averaging 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 26.8 minutes.

Alexandre Sarr Remains Out On Wednesday

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. The French rookie sprained his left ankle on Jan. 27 against the Dallas Mavericks, and it remains unclear when Sarr will be able to return. His next opportunity for a comeback will be Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Richaun Holmes will continue to play extra minutes at center, but he is not a viable fantasy option this evening.

Alexandre Sarr To Miss Fourth Consecutive Game

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. The French rookie sprained his left ankle on Jan. 27 against the Dallas Mavericks, and it remains unclear when Sarr will be able to return. His next chance for a comeback will be Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets. Jonas Valanciunas has taken over the starting center role, with Richaun Holmes serving as his backup. Valanciunas has averaged a double-double as a starter this season with 12.9 points and 10.2 rebounds. Another productive evening looks to be on the cards for him on Monday, as the Hornets allow the fourth-most fantasy points per game to centers.

Alexandre Sarr Will Not Play Thursday

Washington Wizards forward Alexandre Sarr (ankle) will miss a second straight game on Thursday when the Wizards host the Lakers. Sarr sprained his left ankle Monday against Dallas and was forced to leave after just 11 minutes. In his absence on Wednesday against the Raptors, Jonas Valanciunas started and played 23 minutes, and Richaun Holmes served as his top backup with 16 minutes. Both veteran big men will be lined up for more work on Thursday against the Lakers, who will be without Anthony Davis (abdominal), leaving Jaxson Hayes and Christian Koloko in the middle on the other side of this matchup on Thursday.

Alexandre Sarr Will Not Play On Wednesday

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) will not play against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. He sprained his left ankle on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks and has been downgraded from questionable to out. Jonas Valanciunas and Richaun Holmes will fill the center minutes in Wednesday's matchup. It's a favorable spot for the pair, as Toronto allows the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing fives.

Alexandre Sarr Injures Ankle Monday

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (ankle) was limited to 11 minutes in Monday's 130-108 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Sarr was initially able to return to the game after exiting the action with an ankle problem, but he didn't see any action in the second half. The team ruled Sarr out with left ankle soreness. Richaun Holmes entered the rotation with Sarr unavailable, posting nine points and five rebounds in 10 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas logged only 19 minutes on Monday, but his playing time should also get a boost if Sarr is forced to miss additional time.
