Alexandre Sarr to Miss Third Straight Game Thursday

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) has been ruled out for a third consecutive game on Thursday against the Boston Celtics. The talented Frenchman is nursing a right adductor strain. Given the nature of muscle injuries, his return to action may take some time. In Sarr's absence, Marvin Bagley III has become a popular man among fantasy managers and looks set to maintain a starting role on Thursday. As a member of the first unit, Bagley III has averaged 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks this season.

Alexandre Sarr Out of Action Again on Tuesday

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) won't suit up against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. The 2024 No. 2 overall pick will miss his second game in a row due to a sore right adductor. His next chance to get back on the floor comes on Thursday against the Celtics. The 22-year-old big man is having a productive campaign so far, averaging 19.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.0 blocks. Marvin Bagley III and Tristan Vukcevic will both see action at center with Sarr out this evening. Bagley is an excellent streaming option, as he finished with 22 points and eight rebounds across 29 minutes on Monday while Sarr was sidelined.

Alexandre Sarr Won't Play Versus Milwaukee

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) won't play on Monday night against the Bucks. The 2024 No. 2 overall pick has had a quality 2025 campaign, averaging 19.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.0 blocks, all career-highs. He missed two games over a week ago because of a toe injury, although, this time, he'll be sidelined due to adductor soreness. Sarr's next chance to suit up will be on Tuesday versus the Philadelphia 76ers. In the meantime, Marvin Bagley III, who had 13 points, seven boards, three steals, and one block in his only start this season, is the favorite to replace Sarr in the rotation, making him an attractive fantasy commodity for those in need of a temporary streaming option.

Alexandre Sarr Iffy for Monday

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) has picked up a questionable tag ahead of Monday's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks. The French big man is dealing with a sore adductor muscle. Monday marks the start of a back-to-back for Washington, so it appears likely that at least one absence is coming for Sarr at the start of the new week. His exit from the lineup would probably give Marvin Bagley a fresh opportunity to start. Bagley made his first start of the campaign on Nov. 19 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. Tristan Vukcevic could also see more action with Sarr out.

Alexandre Sarr Ruled Out for a Second Straight Game

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (toe) has been ruled out for his second straight game after being downgraded from questionable, removing one of the team's most productive starters from the rotation versus the Raptors. Sarr has averaged 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 29 minutes with strong efficiency, so his absence forces Washington into a patchwork frontcourt. Marvin Bagley III (hip), who started in his place Wednesday, is also out, leaving Tristan Vukcevic and Anthony Gill to cover most of the center minutes. While both Gill and Vukcevic are still risky fantasy options, they both have a higher ceiling than usual on Friday night, giving them deep-league streaming appeal.

Alexandre Sarr Listed as Questionable for Friday Against the Raptors

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (toe) missed Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves after playing in the team's first 13 games of the season. He could return on Friday for the NBA Cup game against Toronto since he was listed as questionable with left big toe soreness. In his 13 games before the injury, Sarr averaged 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 29.0 minutes per game. If he misses Friday's game, more time would go to Tristan Vukcevic since Marvin Bagley III (hip) is doubtful with a right hip contusion.

Alexandre Sarr Unavailable on Wednesday

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (toe) won't suit up on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sarr has yet to miss a game this season, but soreness in his left big toe will keep him out of tonight's tilt. The 20-year-old big man has been excellent, averaging 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game across 13 games this campaign. His next opportunity to get back on the floor is Friday versus the Raptors. While Sarr is sidelined, Marvin Bagley III and Tristan Vukcevic will take on extra minutes. Bagley is a stronger option streaming-wise based on rebounds and points for tonight's contest.

Alexandre Sarr Uncertain for Wednesday's Game in Minnesota

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (toe) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to left big toe soreness. The second-year big has been outstanding, averaging 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists over his last five contests. He is shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from deep during that stretch. If he is unable to go, Washington will need to piece together frontcourt minutes, with Marvin Bagley III and Tristan Vukcevic likely absorbing most of the workload. Bagley is the preferred streamer for rebounds and points, while Vukcevic fits as a deeper-league option for threes and blocks. Kyshawn George and Bilal Coulibaly may also see small usage bumps.

Alexandre Sarr Participates in Non-Contact Part of Practice on Monday

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (calf) was able to participate in parts of Monday's practice, marking the first time he has been able to be involved since his injury to his left calf during EuroBasket, according to coach Brian Keefe. Sarr was playing for France after a strong rookie season, during which he averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 27.1 minutes per game. The 20-year-old was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and a key piece of the Wizards' young core. If he is not able to get back in time for the start of the season, Marvin Bagley III and Tristan Vukcevic would get more time, but when Sarr is healthy, he should be ready to continue his progress as one of the best young bigs in the game. This is the first step to him getting back on time for the season, but monitor his progress closely to determine his early-season value.

Alexandre Sarr to Miss Start of Training Camp

Washington Wizards forward/center Alexandre Sarr (calf) will miss the start of training camp, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports. The team hopes to have him available later in the camp. Sarr suffered a calf injury at the start of the month while playing for France at EuroBasket 2025. Although he will miss some valuable time to prepare for the season, it looks like Sarr is on track to be healthy for opening night. The French big man enjoyed a solid debut campaign last season, averaging 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 27.1 minutes. His fantasy stock is poised to grow in 2025-26.
