NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday the 7th

NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday the 7th

We are blessed with a solid seven game slate tonight that is filled with a lot of options for your DFS lineups. The All-Star break is approaching very soon, so let’s win some money before the break.

For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.

NBA Quick Links

Point Guard

De’Aaron Fox (FD: $9,200, DK: $8,100): The Sacramento Kings are trying to fit in with the top four teams in the Western Conference, but there just seems to be a ceiling with this Kings team. De’Aaron Fox is one of their star players, but he can be up-and-down at moments. He can explode for a 41-point night and follow that up with 19 points and have no impact on the game. Tonight he faces the Detroit Pistons, who allow the most points to point guards per game.

Jaden Springer (FD: $4,700): One of the biggest news stories in the NBA over the past week is the injury to Joel Embiid for the Sixers. Embiid was having a historic season, but is now out for at least four weeks with a meniscus injury that led to surgery. Jaden Springer has played sporadically this year, but now has a larger role by simply sliding up the rotation. He has played at least 19 minutes in the last four games, while managing to get 3+ steals in two of those.

Shooting Guard

Brandin Podziemski (FD: $6,600, DK: $6,000): No one had Brandin Podziemski on their radar heading into the season. However, he has become one of the most important players on the Golden State Warriors this year. He is just an all-around monster that is closing games for this team. He has had four straight games of playing at least 34 minutes, while recording a double-double in three straight games. Podziemski is someone that might have to get a huge increase in DFS salary very soon. Grab him while you can.

Max Strus (FD: $5,900, DK: $5,600): Darius Garland is finally back for the Cleveland Cavaliers, which is very beneficial for Max Strus. As a catch-and-shoot shooter, he is at 36% from three, whereas being off-the-dribble, he is 22% from three. With the return of Garland, and Donovan Mitchell still out there, Strus will have more catch-and-shoot opportunities. They play the Washington Wizards tonight, who are putrid on defense.

Small Forward

Brandon Miller (FD: $7,700, DK: $7,200): Brandon Miller has been electrifying as of late. He has put up back-to-back 30 point games, as he is putting himself in the Rookie of the Year conversation. From a DFS perspective, Miller has scored 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games. Miller is going to be excellent in this league. He might be one of the best bang for your buck plays of the night.

Kelly Oubre Jr. (FD: $6,900, DK: $6,300): I previously talked about the Embiid injury and how Jaden Springer slid up the rotation. Kelly Oubre Jr. has been a starter for most of the season, but he has now slid up the scoring hierarchy. Since Embiid has been out, or banged up while playing, Oubre has had at least 20+ fantasy points.

Power Forward

Kawhi Leonard (FD: $9,500, DK: $8,900): Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers are on fire right now. They are the current number one seed in the Western Conference and Kawhi is playing like an MVP. He has scored 30+ points in four of his last five games, as he is just so dominant in every facet of the game. In his last ten games, he has not dipped below 30 fantasy points. You might need to ride the hot hand and pick Kawhi.

Keegan Murray (FD: $6,500, DK: $5,700): Keegan Murray at home vs on the road is a very fascinating comparison. On the road, Murray is averaging 12.6 points per game on 43-30-79 splits, while at home he is averaging 19 points per game on 50-44-80 splits. Tonight he is home against the worst team in the league. I think a gigantic Murray game is on the horizon.

Center

Jarrett Allen (FD: $8,200, DK: $7,600): In the previous two games against the Washington Wizards, Jarrett Allen had 12 and 19 rebounds, respectively. The Wizards allow the most rebounds per game to centers; two more than the next team. Allen should feast tonight and grab as many rebounds he possibly can tonight.

P.J. Washington (FD: $6,700, DK: $5,700): P.J. Washington has been pretty good over the last few weeks. In his last 10 games, he has had at least 20 fantasy points in eight of those games. The Charlotte Hornets are down a lot of players, which gives Washington more minutes on the court. He has the ability to get off and score in bunches. For the price, Washington is decent add.
