There are five NBA games tonight, the following are my NBA DraftKings picks for Tuesday, December 13th.
DFS Thursday Recap
Last Thursday I wrote a DFS Picks article for DraftKings that did very well. I finished with over 302 points and placed in the top 5 of a 50/50. The missing players on my lineup were filled in using FantasyData’s NBA Optimizer. Obviously, the low roster% on Liilard gave me a huge edge in securing a winning team, however, suggesting Langford might have been the true gem of the lineup. He only cost $3,100 in DraftKings. Hopefully, we can do it again for tonight.
DraftKings NBA Quick Picks Tonight
Chris Paul PG | Phoenix Suns
Projection: 37.2 | DK Cost: $6,200
Chris Paul’s salary has come way down, he usually costs at least $7,500 DraftKings bucks. Paul’s been dealing with a heel injury but we feel he’ll bounce back tonight. With Devin Booker out for the second straight game with a hamstring injury, Chris Paul at $6,200 is a massive value and has a great matchup against Houston. This is a very chalk suggestion, expect at least 25% to 30% rostering in most slates.
Jaylen Brown SF | Boston Celtics
Projection: 43.8 | DK Cost: $9,200
If you focus on DraftKings player cost movement between slates, you know that $9,200 is the highest price you’ve had to pay to add Jaylen Brown to your lineup. I for one try to shoot for great players on the price dip, but Brown’s matchup is too good to pass up. I also love having my best players with the late start time, it’s more fun from a DFS fan perspective. Despite being expensive, The 26-year-old Celtics forward is considered one of our best-valued players of the night
Khris Middleton SF | Milwaukee Bucks
Projection: 37.9 | DK Cost: $6,000
Another value player with a great matchup. Middleton has a sneaky 22.1 % usage rate, which ranks 18th for Shooting Guards (if you’re counting players that aren’t in the qualifier metrics). Middleton wasn’t able to complete Sunday’s game against Houston because of a left ankle sprain. He played for only six minutes and failed to register any stats. This was only his fifth game since making his season debut.
I understand when building a 50/50 team, you want to be safe, so only start him if you’re willing to be a little more aggressive.
Blake Griffin PF | Boston Celtics
Projection: 21.4 | DK Cost: $3,800
The Celtics at Lackers game total is 235.5 which is the highest over/under tonight. It’s a back-to-back game for Boston however no travel time as they were playing the Clippers last night. Boston was held under 100 points for the first time this season losing 113-91. We expect a better performance tonight and Griffin is scheduled to get the start with Robert Williams and Al Horford both out. Griffin is cheap at only $3,800
