The Orlando Magic have agreed on a two-way contract with forward Admiral Schofield. The 26-year-old has spent each of the last two seasons with the Magic. However, he hasn't been able to establish a consistent role for himself in the rotation. Last season, Schofield averaged 4.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 12.2 minutes per game across 37 appearances with Orlando. The expectation is that he'll spend a majority of his time in the G-League. Regardless, it's unlikely that Schofield will have fantasy value next season.
The Orlando Magic have re-signed forward Admiral Schofield to a two-way deal. The 25-year-old appeared in 38 games for the team last year and averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.9% from the field. Schofield was a second round pick in the 2019 NBA draft after he spent four years at the University of Tennessee. The Magic suddenly have a crowded roster with a lot of young talent. Schofield would need at least a few injuries to the team's frontcourt in order to have an opportunity to crack the rotation next year.
Admiral Schofield A Non-Factor Off Bench Versus Thunder
Washington Wizards guard Admiral Schofield made little use of his 24 minutes on the court against the Thunder on Sunday. He only mustered three points on 1-for-4 shooting, with all of his attempts coming from behind the line. Schofield failed to accumulate a block, steal, or assist. The 23-year-old rookie needs to make the most of his playing time while it is still available to him. Schofield has yet to score more than three points in a single game in Orlando, so he is someone whom owners should avoid adding to their rosters. It is abundantly clear that he has yet to find his rhythm at the NBA level.
Washington Wizards shooting guard Admiral Schofield took advantage of his opportunity on Wednesday night against the Magic. With Washington missing Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, Thomas Bryantand Davis Bertans, someone needed to take on the minutes, and Schofield filled in nicely. He set career highs with 19 points, six rebounds, 13 field-goal attempts, eight made field goals and 36 minutes played. The Wizards were forced to play with a nine-man rotation on Wednesday, and that led to big minutes for Schofield. He will likely be sent back down to the G League once the Wizards receive some of their regular starters back from injury.
