Blake Griffin Last 10 Games
Blake Griffin News
Brooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin (rest) won't play on Sunday against the Hornets. With the team playing its first of back-to-back outings, the veteran will get the afternoon off. LaMarcus Aldridge, who exploded on Friday evening against the Philadelphia 76ers by recording 23 points, should get additional minutes behind Nicolas Claxton without Griffin in the lineup. Paul Millsap could also get some extra run, although not enough to make him relevant from a fantasy standpoint.
Free-agent forward Blake Griffin is expected to remain in Brooklyn next season. After reaching a buyout agreement with the Detroit Pistons during the year, the 32-year-old signed with the Nets. Griffin had spurts of productivity during his brief tenure in the Big Apple and averaged 10 points and 4.7 boards throughout 26 games. Although his best days are likely behind him, he has late-round value in upcoming fantasy drafts in deeper formats.
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving (groin) and forward Blake Griffin (rest) are available for Friday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. It's the second game of a back-to-back, which normally means Griffin would sit. However, he only played 14 minutes on Thursday and will be asked to suit up with Kevin Durant (rest) sidelined. At first glance, Griffin should be a productive fantasy option with the Nets banged up, but he never seems to be consistent. Irving missed Thursday's game due to a minor groin issue, but should be fine here. He'll be asked to do more with Durant out on Friday. Irving should be a favorable DFS option for Friday's slate.
Brooklyn Nets forwards Kevin Durant (rest) and Blake Griffin (rest) have been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Both players sat out the front end of the back-to-back set. Fantasy managers should feel safe about plugging Durant back into their lineups. Griffin has been getting minutes in the low-20s, but is basically a deep league option right now.
