Charlotte Hornets guard Brad Wanamaker (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. He played 21 minutes on Wednesday before being forced to exit due to an ankle issue. Grant Riller could be forced into the rotation on Friday with the Hornets already shorthanded. He's not worth the gamble in most fantasy formats because he hasn't shown much in his small sample size.
With guard Stephen Curry not available after feeling sick in pregame, Golden State Warriors guard Brad Wanamaker played 33 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets. He scored 14 points on 5-for-15 shooting and grabbed three rebounds while dishing out five assists. Wanamaker was 2-for-6 from three and also posted three steals. While he's appeared in every game this season, this was just the second time that Wanamaker had double-digit points and the first time he'd played more than 21 minutes. His DFS viability on Tuesday against the Knicks will depend on Curry's availability, but with New York allowing the fewest points per game to opponents this year, Wanamaker won't have that much upside even if Curry is out.
Free agent guard Brad Wanamaker is signing a one-year, $2.25 million deal with the Golden State Warriors. Wanamaker has played in the NBA for just two years but is 31 years old, so he probably is what he is at this point, which is a capable backup guard. He averaged 19.3 minutes per game, with 6.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He led the NBA in free throw percentage last season and has a chance to carve out a role as the third or fourth guard in Golden State, though his low usage makes it tough to trust him in fantasy.
Boston Celtics guard Brad Wanamaker (ankle) is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The injury report is loaded for this one, so fantasy owners are likely going to have to wait until after Friday's shootaround for better information. Kemba Walker (knee) is questionable, but if he plays, Wanamaker will lose most of his streaming appeal.
Brad Wanamaker Efficiently Scores 15 Points Off The Bench
Boston Celtics guard Brad Wanamaker has been in and out of Brad Stevens' rotation as of late, though his name was called against the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday due to Kemba Walker (knee) sitting out, and it is safe to say that he made the most of his opportunity. The second-year pro played 26 minutes, more than any other player off the Boston bench, and contributed 15 points on 5-for-9 accuracy from the field and saw two of his five 3-point tries find the bottom of the net. Considering Walker is slated to miss the Celtics' next outing against the Atlanta Hawks Monday, Wanamaker is in position to receive significant playing time versus Trae Young and crew.
Boston Celtics guard Brad Wanamaker (ankle) is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He saw 26 minutes on Wednesday with Marcus Smart (eye) sidelined. Smart has already been ruled out for Friday and Gordon Hayward (foot) is questionable. Wanamaker could be in the streaming conversation with Smart and possibly Hayward sidelined on Friday.
