Cam Thomas Out 3-4 Weeks

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (hamstring) will miss 3-4 weeks. As expected, the 24-year-old has shined on the scoring end for the Nets this season, averaging 21.4 points. Unfortunately, he'll be on the shelf with a hamstring strain, something he dealt with throughout the 2024 campaign. With that said, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised to see Thomas' absence extend beyond the four-week mark. In the meantime, Terance Mann, Noah Clowney, and Tyrese Martin are the favorites to pick up the slack on the scoring end behind Michael Porter Jr.

Cam Thomas Won't Play on Friday

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Cam Thomas (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This isn't surprising, since Thomas missed most of Wednesday's contest against the Indiana Pacers due to a hamstring problem. Thomas is Brooklyn's second-highest scorer, averaging 21.4 points for the year, and his absence will open up additional scoring opportunities for his teammates. At the same time, players like Tyrese Martin and Terance Mann could be more involved in the rotation. Mann is already starting for the Nets, while Martin produced 16 points in 27 minutes off the bench on Wednesday night after Thomas' departure.

Cam Thomas Available on Sunday

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (face) is available for Sunday's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. The 24-year-old suffered a nasal fracture in Friday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the injury didn't stop him from finishing with 33 points and nine assists. He'll likely be wearing a face guard until the injury heals, so there's a chance his vision may be affected. Of course, Thomas still needs to be featured in all fantasy formats, although his shooting percentages may be impacted due to the recent injury, which won't sit well with category managers.

Cam Thomas Has Dropped A "Good Amount" of Weight This Offseason

Brooklyn Nets point guard Cam Thomas said to the media on Monday that he has dropped a good amount of weight this offseason. He had attempted to put on more weight in his past couple seasons to try the "strong, bulky route," but he didn't like how he looked. The 23-year-old mentioned he looks and feels better now. Thomas and the Nets were unable to come to an agreement on a long-term deal this offseason and Thomas instead signed a qualifying offer. This seasons sets up to be a prove-it type of year for the 23-year-old as he will become an unrestricted free agent this season. Fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to target Thomas in the middle rounds of their upcoming drafts.

Cam Thomas "Increasingly Interested" in Signing Qualifying Offer

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas is "increasingly interested" in signing a $6 million qualifying offer, NBA insider Jake Fischer reports. The talented scorer remains a restricted free agent and seems to have overvalued himself. A recent report from Lucas Kaplan of NetsDaily suggests that, in an ideal scenario, Thomas would want to attract offers close to $40 million a year. Brooklyn's maximum offer has reportedly been a two-year deal with a team option, worth $14.1 million annually. Thomas has been left in contract limbo despite leading the Nets in scoring last season with 24.0 points per game and posting career highs in rebounding (3.3) and assists (3.8).

Cam Thomas, Nets Far Apart in Contract Talks

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas remains a restricted free agent and doesn't seem close to signing an extension with the team. Thomas reportedly wants an annual salary of around $30 million, but the Nets have only offered a two-year deal worth about $14.1 million per season with a team option. After averaging a team-high 24.0 points per game in 2024-25, Thomas clearly values himself highly. However, he must lower his salary demands significantly to reach a multi-year agreement this summer. Ultimately, Thomas might choose to accept Brooklyn's $5.99 million qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next offseason. This would give him more options to sign a lucrative deal.

Cam Thomas Set for Restricted Free Agency

The Brooklyn Nets extended a qualifying offer to guard Cam Thomas, making him a restricted free agent. The 23-year-old averaged a career-high 24 points last season. Unfortunately, nagging hamstring issues limited him to only 25 appearances. It's safe to say the Nets will do what it takes to keep him, especially since the club is in the position to do so from a financial standpoint. If that's the case, Thomas has an excellent chance to lead the club in scoring, considering the club will be on the young side in 2025. An All-Star selection could also be on the horizon. With that in mind, Thomas has plenty to offer fantasy managers due to his offensive prowess. However, his health will remain a concern until he proves he can stay off the injury report.

Cam Thomas Expected To Miss Rest Of The Season

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (hamstring) is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. He has another left hamstring strain, with the team ruling him out due to "the number of days remaining in the schedule and the time needed to appropriately recover." Outside of the injuries, the 23-year-old had an excellent season, averaging career-highs in points (24.0), rebounds (3.3), and assists (3.8). But with Thomas and the organization failing to reach a contract agreement early in the season, he'll become a restricted free agent this summer. Without question, the 2021 No. 27 overall pick is loaded with talent. However, Thomas' inability to stay healthy will negatively impact his fantasy stock moving ahead. Without Thomas on the floor, guys like Tyrese Martin and Keon Johnson should benefit.

Cam Thomas Sits Out First Leg Of Back-To-Back Saturday

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Cam Thomas (hamstring) will not be in the lineup on Saturday against the Boston Celtics. Brooklyn will give the talented scorer some time off to manage a hamstring injury as the team begins a back-to-back set. Thomas is likely to return to action on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks. Keon Johnson stepped in for Thomas in the starting unit Monday night against the Los Angeles Lakers and may receive another start on Saturday. Tyrese Martin will likely also see more action with Thomas on the shelf.

Cam Thomas Returns To Nets Lineup Friday

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Cam Thomas (hamstring) will be back on the court Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team has removed him from the injury report ahead of the game. Thomas last saw action on Jan. 2, missing 24 games due to a hamstring injury. Before going down, Thomas enjoyed a big start to the season, averaging a career-high 24.7 points. He will immediately become Brooklyn's top scoring option again, though the team might monitor Thomas' workload following his extended layoff. Keon Johnson and Tyrese Martin will likely have to settle for lesser roles in the rotation now that Thomas is back.
