Charlotte Hornets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (illness) was removed early during Thursday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. It was a bad night for the Hornets with Terry Rozier (foot) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (shoulder) also exiting early during this game. Smith started the third quarter when Rozier left due to injury. However, he didn't get through the quarter before exiting due to an illness. That means, Bryce McGowens, Svi Mykhailiuk, and Gordon Hayward will all see increased roles if any of these players do end up missing more time.
