Denzel Valentine Drops Season-High 20 Points

Chicago Bulls guard Denzel Valentine recorded a season-high 20 points along with three rebounds, four assists, and one steal in a season-high 37 minutes during Saturday's victory over the Magic. Valentine was in the starting lineup and posted his best numbers of the season with more playing time. Overall, the guard is only averaging 7.3 points per game this season. Nevertheless, Valentine has a prime chance to build on this performance on Monday against a Washington team that has a bottom-two defense.

Denzel Valentine Gets Qualifying Offer

Chicago Bulls forward Denzel Valentine surprisingly has been extended a $4.7 million qualifying offer. That means, Valentine is a restricted free agent, so the Bulls can match any offers that he receives. It is quite odd the Bulls extended this offer since Valentine has not had a significant role on the team. Although, the Bulls have a new head coach and some changes in the front office. Possibly, the team feels that Valentine has something to offer the team. Fantasy owners can continue to ignore him in standard formats.

Denzel Valentine Scores 17 Points In Spot Start

Chicago Bulls shooting guard Denzel Valentine made his first start of the season on Monday, scoring 17 points in a 109-107 win over the Mavs. He replaced Zach LaVine (quad) in the starting unit and went on to shoot 7-for-15 from the field and 3-for-10 from outside. Valentine also had four rebounds, two assists, and one block in 21 minutes. LaVine was probable for the game before getting downgraded to doubtful, so it appears that his injury isn't a very serious issue. He has a chance of a revenge game against Minnesota on Wednesday. If he can't go, Valentine will likely start again, and it's a good matchup for shooting guards, as the Timberwolves are allowing the fourth-most points in the league to the position this season.

Denzel Valentine is Hopeful to Play Saturday

Chicago Bulls forward Denzel Valentine (hamstring) is hopefully going to be able to play in Saturday's game against the New York Knicks, according to head coach Jim Boylen. He was able to practice on Thursday, so there's a chance he returns on Saturday. Valentine has missed each of the last seven games due to a left hamstring issue. The Bulls are expected to ease him back into action, so Valentine wouldn't be worth streaming or a reliable DFS option for Saturday's slate.

Denzel Valentine Remains Out Following All-Star Break

Chicago Bulls forward Denzel Valentine (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He has been on the injury report for the last two weeks due to a left hamstring issue. Chandler Hutchison (shoulder), Otto Porter (foot), and Kris Dunn (knee) are all sidelined as well. Shaq Harrison and Ryan Arcidiacono should see more minutes until the team gets healthy. However, neither player is likely going to do enough to warrant ownership in most fantasy formats. Valentine could have some deep league value if he's able to beat the other injured players back to the court.

Daniel Gafford, Denzel Valentine To Miss Thursday’s Contest

The Chicago Bulls will be without both center Daniel Gafford and shooting guard/small forward Denzel Valentine for Thursdays game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Gafford is returning to the sidelines due to a right ankle sprain after making an appearance Sunday following a nine-game absence, while Valentine is out due to a tight left hamstring. In their absence, Luke Kornet and Chandler Hutchison should see additional usage, respectively, and become compelling DFS options due to the pace at which the Pelicans play. The next chance that Gafford and Valentine have at returning to action comes Sunday against Philadelphia.

Denzel Valentine Doesn't Practice on Tuesday

Chicago Bulls forward Denzel Valentine (hamstring) was unable to suit up for Tuesday's practice. He played 14 minutes off the bench on Sunday, but hasn't been much of a fantasy asset this season. There have been rumors that the Bulls are trying to trade Valentine, but it's doubtful that he'll gain much value with a new team. He could be a deep league option with Kris Dunn (knee) sidelined, but won't have great value going forward.

Denzel Valentine Drops Season-High 16 Points Off Bench

Chicago Bulls shooting guard/small forward Denzel Valentine set a slew of season highs during Saturdays win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Valentine parlayed his season-high 25 minutes into a season-high 16 points, which included a season-high four made triples. He has now reached double figures in scoring in five of his last six outings, appearing to finally have made his way back from injury. A solid contributor on the glass, Valentine will primarily garner season-long interest from owners looking for some offensive punch, with seven of his 14 appearances this season having resulted in multiple made three-pointers.

Denzel Valentine is 100 Percent Healthy

Chicago Bulls forward Denzel Valentine (ankle) is 100 percent healthy and is beginning to get back into game shape. Valentine missed all of last season after having ankle surgery. He averaged 10.2 points and 3.2 assists in 27.2 minutes during the 2017-18 season. He could be looking at consistent minutes off the bench. He's not going to have great fantasy value, but he's worth looking at in the end of drafts.

Denzel Valentine Doesn't Practice on Friday

Chicago Bulls guard/forward Denzel Valentine (ankle) did not practice on Friday and will be re-evaluated. Valentine missed all of the preseason and Thursday's season opener against the 76ers. Justin Holiday started the game and played 27 minutes, while Antonio Blakeney played 30 minutes off the bench. Both players would likely see similar workloads on Saturday, assuming Valentine sits again.
