Derrick Rose News
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) did not return to Saturday's preseason clash against the Wizards. The former MVP began experiencing pain in his left ankle and was observed speaking with trainers during the fourth quarter. He subsequently went back to the locker room and wasn't seen again for the contest's duration. Before the veteran's premature exit, he had played well, posting 15 points, eight assists, and two steals while going a perfect 3-for-3 from deep throughout 19 minutes of work. It's no secret that head coach Tom Thibodeau has given plenty of minutes to his players during the preseason, but the 33-year-old may need to tone things down a bit heading toward the regular season. Fortunately, the injury doesn't appear to be anything serious at the moment. However, it's still worth keeping an eye on, especially for the fantasy managers who haven't drafted ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) is expected to suit up for Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Head coach Tom Thibodeau hinted that Rose's ankle injury was minor and they gave him a rest day on Thursday. To be fair, Rose played a season-high 39 minutes during Tuesday's game, while suffering an ankle injury. Alec Burks, Reggie Bullock, and Immanuel Quickley will see less minutes and touches with Rose likely returning on Saturday.
New York Knicks point/shooting guard Derrick Rose (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game versus the Spurs as he battles a left ankle sprain. Rose's offensive production has risen significantly during six May outings, having put up 22 PPG, while also shooting 56.5 percent from behind the arc. His absence comes as the Knicks return to relative full health elsewhere on the wing, with Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks likely to see a bump in offensive usage Thursday without Rose available. His next chance to return to the mix comes Saturday against Charlotte.
New York Knicks guards Derrick Rose (ankle) and Alec Burks (knee) are listed as probable for Thursday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Reggie Bullock (ankle) is expected to return for this contest as well. All three players are originally questionable, but it sounds like they will be available for this contest. Somehow, Bullock has sneaked his way into being the most valuable fantasy option out of the three guards.
