Free-Agent guard Dwayne Bacon agreed to a one-year, minimum-salary deal with the New York Knicks. Bacon spent his first three seasons in Charlotte before suiting up for the Magic last season, finishing the year by averaging a career-high 10.9 points and 3.1 rebounds throughout all 72 games. The move purely adds depth for the Knickerbockers, although there could be a steaming opportunity for needy fantasy managers at some point during the 2021-22 campaign. However, he shouldn't be considered a consistent option in any format unless he gains a consistent role moving ahead.
Orlando Magic shooting guard Dwayne Bacon scored a team-high 20 points on 6-for-15 shooting in Sunday's loss to Indiana, adding five rebounds, two steals and one assist in 32 minutes. The 25-year-old finished 1-for-3 with the three-ball and 7-for-8 at the foul line. It was a good bounce-back performance from Bacon after he had managed only eight points in Thursday's loss to New Orleans. He boasts two 20-point efforts in his past four performances, but Bacon has been very inconsistent throughout the season, and the next matchup against the Lakers is an ugly one as well, so fantasy managers should steer clear of him.
Orlando Magic guard Dwayne Bacon compiled 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Rockets. Bacon is not usually a main contributor on offense for the Magic and the last time he posted over 20 points was back on March 28th. Given the fact that his role is small, his numbers aren't consistent, and he's only averaging 10.2 points per game, Bacon isn't worth fantasy consideration at this moment.
Orlando Magic shooting guard Dwayne Bacon had a great Sunday night with a game-high 26 points on 9-for-19 shooting in a narrow loss to the Lakers. He finished 2-for-6 from downtown and made all six of his free throws, adding eight rebounds and one assist with one turnover in 33 minutes. The Magic cleared the house on trade deadline and Bacon is back to playing significant minutes. The 25-year-old has produced good scoring numbers whenever he has gotten enough playing time, and he now has another opportunity to perform. Bacon generally doesn't offer much else besides scoring, but his Friday's line included six assists and he matched a season high with eight rebounds on Sunday.
Orlando Magic guard Dwayne Bacon scored 20 points on 7-for-18 shooting in Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. In addition, he grabbed three rebounds and dished out one assist. Bacon was 4-for-7 from three and also posted three steals. He'll face the Kings on Friday, who allow opponents to shoot the seventh-highest percentage from three and to score the second-most points per game. On paper, it looks like a good time to deploy Bacon as a DFS value pick, though the fourth-year has struggled some with his efficiency lately. Still, he's connecting on threes and taking a lot of shots, setting him up for his fourth-consecutive game with double-digit points.
Orlando Magic shooting guard Dwayne Bacon had 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting in Wednesday's 105-94 victory over Cleveland, finishing as the team's highest-scoring starter. Terrence Ross had five triples and ended up notching 20 points off the bench. Bacon had two treys with two rebounds and one assist. The former Hornet has been a starter for Orlando, but he hasn't gotten much of a look offensively. However, his best offensive performance of the season came in a situation where Markelle Fultz (knee) went down injured early on, and it could be a sign of things to come, with Fultz set to miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
Free agent small forward Dwayne Bacon has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Orlando Magic, with a team option in the second year. Bacon started 11 of his 39 games last year for the Hornets, averaging 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting just 28.4 percent from three. Bacon is likely just a depth addition for the Magic and shouldn't be on your fantasy radars to open the season unless things change significantly in Orlando.
Charlotte Hornets forward Dwayne Bacon mentioned that his best option is to "go somewhere else" when he reaches free agency in October. He will be a restricted free agent later this winter and there's a chance that Charlotte doesn't even offer him a contract. They've given Bacon chances this season, but he has failed to capitalize. Devonte' Graham ran away with the starting point guard spot. Caleb Martin and Cody Martin both played well and jumped Bacon on the depth chart. At this point, Bacon wouldn't have much of a role in Charlotte anymore. He most likely won't have great fantasy value elsewhere, but it'll at least get better on some other organizations.
Charlotte Hornets guard Dwayne Bacon has been recalled from the G League after posting some impressive stats. He was averaging 31.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists and dropped 51 points in one contest during his time in the G League. Malik Monk (suspension) won't be taking the court anytime soon. Cody Martin has been playing well, so Bacon will have to fight with him for playing time. Bacon could have some deep league value if he's given reliable playing time in Charlotte.
Charlotte Hornets forward Dwayne Bacon (knee) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the New York Knicks. However, Bacon was listed as probable for Friday and didn't end up playing. He's been awful at shooting this season, so most fantasy owners should stay away regardless. He could be worth a look in deep leagues if he actually plays on Saturday.
