Dwight Powell Last 10 Games
Dwight Powell News
Dallas Mavericks center Dwight Powell (illness) has been given the green light to get back into action for Wednesday's game against the Clippers. Powell was down for Monday's meeting between the two squads because of an illness, with his return likely to pull some minutes away from Maxi Kleber and Willie Cauley-Stein. Powell snatched a season-high 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes in his most recent outing, but with just two double-digit scoring performances under his belt this season, he remains a finicky fantasy option in any format.
Dallas Mavericks center Dwight Powell (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He sat out of Monday's game due to an illness, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him miss another game. Willie Cauley-Stein and Maximilian Kleber would be asked to soak up the extra minutes. Neither are great streaming options, but could offer some low-end value.
Dallas Mavericks center Dwight Powell played 26 minutes on Monday against the Grizzlies, his most minutes since Jan. 1. But Powell wasn't able to do a ton with those minutes, going 2-for-8 from the floor and scoring six points. He also added four rebounds, three assists and a block. Those eight shots were the most Powell has averaged all season. Could we finally be seeing Powell emerge as a fantasy relevant player this season? Let's not get ahead of ourselves, but considering that Powell shot 63.8 percent from the floor last season, we should keep an eye on his minutes.
Dallas Mavericks center Dwight Powell has been bumped up into the starting group for Monday's contest against the Grizzlies. Powell stands to benefit from Kristaps Porzingis' (back) absence, although Willie Cauley-Stein should also factor in significantly to the team's frontcourt rotation. Even during six starts this year, Powell is averaging just 5.3 points and 4.4 boards per contest, making him a risky DFS selection despite his starting gig. He's likely to return to his minimal bench role upon Porzingis' return, making Powell an avoidable season-long commodity at this stage.
