Harry Giles III Heading To Charlotte

Free-agent center/forward Harry Giles III agreed to a training camp deal with the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, he'll compete for a roster spot on a very bare-bones roster that suffered a lot of injuries last season. Giles didn't play at all in the NBA during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, then came back to play for the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers last year. Through 23 total appearances last season, Giles averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds across 4.3 minutes per game. Knee injuries have been his biggest issue since being drafted 20th overall in 2017, but he may find a depth spot if he can stay healthy and compete through the preseason.

Harry Giles III Earns Probable Tag Thursday

Portland Trail Blazers forward/center Harry Giles III (calf) is listed as probable to play Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Giles has not played since February 14th and will likely be eased back into the lineup given the nature of calf injuries. Giles is likely suited best on your waiver wire, but he was a decent rebounds streamer before the injury. Giles figures to see about 15 minutes off the bench at least until Jusuf Nurkic (wrist, calf) is cleared to play. The return of Giles may also take away some minutes from Carmelo Anthony.

Harry Giles III Remains Out On Saturday

Portland Trail Blazers forward Harry Giles III (calf) will not play Saturday against the Washington Wizards. Giles was diagnosed with a calf strain which has a high chance of reaggravation so the Blazers are likely taking it slow given the amount of injuries they already have. Carmelo Anthony has been the next man up for Portland and is a solid streamer for points, three-pointers and free throws with Giles out for the third straight game. Anthony has six straight games with double-digit scoring including three 20-point outings over that stretch.

Harry Giles III Ruled Out Wednesday

Portland Trail Blazers center Harry Giles III (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He missed Tuesday's contest as well due to a left calf strain. Nassir Little and Enes Kanter will benefit the most from the loss of Giles. Little scored 13 points, while Kanter finished with a season-high 21 rebounds last outing. Both players seem like they would be worth a look as streaming choices on Wednesday. Kanter has a bit more upside because of his elite rebounding ability.

Harry Giles III Looks Impressive During Camp

Portland Trail Blazers center Harry Giles III has reportedly looked impressive during training camp and in the preseason, according to head coach Terry Stotts. However, it doesn't sound like Giles will have a significant role to begin the season. It appears Enes Kanter is a lock for the backup center role right now. That means, Giles likely won't see many minutes off the bench right away. Maybe, Giles finds his way into significant playing time later in the season, but he'll be a tough player to trust during the season opener.

Harry Giles Plays Well Off The Bench In Loss

Sacramento Kings power forward/center Harry Giles recorded his first double-double since February 22nd in the win over the Pelicans on Tuesday. Giles was not so efficient from the floor as he connected on just 6-for-17 shooting, but he still managed to record 12 points while gathering 11 boards with three assists to go along with two blocks in 25 minutes of action. The Kings' last game is on Thursday against the Lakers and we can assume he will get some solid minutes in that game, making him worth a look as a cheap punt play.

Harry Giles Expected To Have Limited Role With Kings

Sacramento Kings center Harry Giles is not likely going to have a big role in the rotation going forward. His best opportunity would likely come with another organization, according to Jason Jones. Richaun Holmes had a breakout campaign during the 2019-2020 season, but unfortunately dealt with injuries. Marvin Bagley was injured as well, but is expected to see significant playing time because of his potential. Alex Len is a free agent this offseason, so there is a small window for Giles to see playing time. However, it's going to be tough for him to climb up the depth chart in Sacramento.

Harry Giles Continues Strong Play On Friday

Sacramento Kings power forward/center Harry Giles posted another solid line and it helped his club pick up the win over the Grizzlies on Friday. Giles started slow, but then got things going as he nailed 8-for-14 from the floor en route to 16 points while gathering five rebounds and adding a block with a steal across 31 minutes of action. Giles has stepped up in his starting role, and with the Kings being quite thin upfront, Giles is worth an add. His DFS price tag is slowly trending up, but he still holds some excellent value at the moment.

Harry Giles Impresses Again Tuesday Night

Sacramento Kings power forward Harry Giles, who recorded his first career double-double last weekend, produced another good performance in Tuesday's win over Golden State, finishing with 13 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and one steal. He ended up with 5-for-9 shooting from the field and a 3-for-6 success rate at the line. Head coach Luke Walton has praised Giles a lot lately, and Richaun Holmes (shoulder) and Marvin Bagley (foot) both remain on the shelf, so the 21-year-old is in a very good situation right now. With that said, the next matchup is a pretty ugly spot for Giles, as the Thunder don't give up a lot of points to bigs, with Steven Adams patrolling the paint.

Harry Giles Notches First Career Double-Double

Sacramento Kings forward/center Harry Giles navigated his way to his first career double-double in Saturday's win over the Clippers, scoring 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting and grabbing 12 rebounds. He also had a pair of assists and one block in 32 minutes as a starter. Giles, who finished off his performance with a monster alley-oop dunk, had now logged at least 20 minutes of action in four of his past five games, and it seems like the Kings are ready to give him an extended look. He gets a great matchup next against Golden State to build up even more confidence.
