Jay Scrubb Likely Out For The Season With Knee Injury
Boston Celtics guard Jay Scrubb (knee) signed a two-way deal with the team this offseason but will likely have to miss the season after tearing his ACL at practice on Saturday. The team confirmed the injury after running some tests on Saturday and Sunday. The 23-year-old was previously on two-way deals with the Magic and Clippers over the last three seasons. Scrubb played well for Boston during Summer League action which landed him another two-way contract. He'll now set his sights on rehabbing to get ready for next year.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Jay Scrubb (foot) has been cleared to resume basketball activities. The young guard appeared in 18 games before undergoing season-ending surgery in February. The assumption is that Scrubb will be ready in time for the summer league. However, he'll likely be buried on the Clippers depth chart going forward. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Scrubb to bring much fantasy value to the roster next season.
