Jericho Sims News
New York Knicks center Jericho Sims (illness) is expected to play on Monday against Houston. Under normal circumstances, Sims' availability won't mean much to fantasy managers. However, there's a chance he could start if Isaiah Hartenstein (Achilles) misses another game. But even if Sims gets more action versus the Rockets, his impact on the fantasy end should be minimal, considering Taj Gibson is anticipated to remain a part of the rotation as well.
New York Knicks center Jericho Sims sprained his right ankle against the Lakers on Monday, exiting the action after logging just three minutes. Sims made a fifth consecutive start as Mitchell Robinson's (ankle) replacement. The 25-year-old was seen using a walking boot after exiting Monday's game, which isn't a great sign regarding his availability for the upcoming action. Isaiah Hartenstein is the next big in line to start in New York. He's actually already played starters' minutes since Robinson's exit from the lineup. On Monday, Hartenstein logged 39 minutes and posted a new career high with 17 rebounds. He also had multiple blocks in a fourth consecutive game while contributing nine points offensively.
New York Knicks center Jericho Sims (shoulder) underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder. The big man is expected to be ready for training camp next season. Sims has been sidelined since the first week in April due to injury. It appears his season is over, but his absence won't make a huge impact in the rotation. Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah Hartenstein might see a few extra minutes. Sims averaged 3.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in 52 games this season. He likely won't be a fantasy option heading into next season.
New York Knicks center Jericho Sims (shoulder) has officially been ruled out of Game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. The young center has yet to see the floor in this series and he most likely wouldn't get any minutes unless either Mitchell Robinson or Isaiah Hartenstein gets hurt. He should not be on any DFS radars whether healthy or not at this moment.
