Johnny Davis Considered Questionable Versus Bucks

Washington Wizards guard Johnny Davis (elbow) has been dealing with a left elbow sprain ever since the preseason and it has caused him to miss five games so far this year. The young combo guard is considered questionable for the team's Monday night game against the Milwaukee Bucks which will likely be an uphill battle as the huge underdogs. If Davis can't suit up, there won't be that many minutes to go around since he only gets 9.3 per game. Landry Shamet and Corey Kispert should be available in a majority of leagues though, if need be.

Johnny Davis To Miss Some Time

Washington Wizards guard Johnny Davis (elbow) is likely to miss the beginning of the regular season. The 21-year-old is dealing with a left elbow sprain, which could force him to miss a week or two. Luckily, it doesn't sound like a major injury, so Davis should return in a few weeks. He's not expected to be a significant part of the rotation to begin the season anyway. He'll probably have a bigger role if the Wizards aren't competitive mid-season. The Wizards selected Davis with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 draft. He should get a chance to play at some point this season. Until then, he won't be a factor in fantasy leagues.

Johnny Davis Dealing With Lower Back Tightness

Washington Wizards rookie guard Johnny Davis (back) sat out the team's final two Summer League games due to lower back tightness. It's unclear at this moment whether the team is being extra cautious with him or if it's an injury that could linger. Davis had a rough Summer League showing overall. He shot just 8-for-29 from the field over the three games he played in and had a total of eight turnovers compared with just five assists. The former Wisconsin Badger was selected 10th overall in this year's draft. He has a chance to see some decent minutes this year if he can put together a solid training camp and preseason, but he'll need to push past his rough Summer League performance.

Johnny Davis Struggling From The Field At Summer League

Washington Wizards rookie guard Johnny Davis is off to a rough start to his first NBA Summer League. Over two games, he's shot just 5-for-25 from the field. Davis has led all Wizards in minutes played in each of the team's first two Summer League games, so the team clearly wants him to get a lot of run during the tournament. On the bright side, he's shot 6-for-6 from the free throw line and he's come up with three steals. Davis is someone worth keeping an eye on for fantasy purposes. Depending on how the rest of the offseason goes for the Wizards, he could be in line to be one of the team's first guards off the bench this year. While he may hurt fantasy managers in field goal percentage, he could wind up being a decent source of scoring and three-pointers.
