According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, free-agent forward/center Kenneth Lofton Jr. signed a one-year deal with the Bulls. Lofton has already played for three teams in his first two seasons in the league. However, he has averaged just 4.8 points in 45 games with the Grizzlies, 76ers, and Jazz. While he has a chance to earn a spot on the Bulls' opening night roster, he'll likely spend most of his time on the bench if he makes the team.

The 20-year-old only played 7.3 minutes per game in 20 contests with Memphis last season. Lofton has shown he has the potential to be a legitimate contributor, so we'll see where he ends up in the rotation.

He also collected four assists and two steals during a busy 30-minute shift. Lofton Jr.'s 6-for-15 shooting left an ugly stain on his stat line, but he was an impressive 2-for-4 with the three-ball. The 20-year-old was one of the stars of the G League last season, and he will look to make strides in the NBA next season as well. During his rookie campaign, Lofton Jr. averaged only 7.3 minutes of action and played in 24 games. However, he's already demonstrated great potential by becoming the first player in NBA history to put up at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in his first career start since the league began tracking starts in 1970-71.
