Lester Quinones Fantasy Stats

Shooting guard Lester Quinones has signed a deal with the Orlando Magic to join the team for training camp, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Quinones has made 54 career appearances in the NBA and suited up 11 times last season with the Philadelphia 76ers and New Orleans Pelicans. He had some good performances in New Orleans, averaging 8.6 points and 2.6 assists in 18.4 minutes. While in the G League, Quinones crushed it as a member of the Pelicans-affiliated Birmingham Squadron, notching 21.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. The 24-year-old has struggled to find a consistent role in the NBA and will probably have to mainly settle for G League minutes again in 2025-26.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Warriors will convert the contract of guard Lester Quinones to a standard deal. The two-way player has appeared in 19 games for Golden State this season. He got off to a slow start. Yet, Quinones is beginning to get a consistent role in the rotation and has averaged 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in his nine games in February. While he still has a way to go before earning a spot on most fantasy rosters, there could be streaming opportunities somewhere down the line.

In five Summer League appearances, Quinones has averaged 23.4 points with 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists, and his chances of landing on the Golden State roster for the 2023-24 campaign seem stronger with each outing.

The former Memphis Tiger shot 10-for-16 from the field and hit 5-for-8 from deep in 27 minutes of action. Quinones had trouble staying away from fouls and had seven of them in total, but the 22-year-old played a very efficient game overall and wrapped up his line with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Last season, Quinones played only four games for the Warriors, but he averaged close to 22 points per game in the G League and was named the league's Most Improved Player. He'll hope to make more noise in the NBA in 2023-24.
