Toronto Raptors guard Matt Thomas appears to have impressed the team enough to earn a significant role in the rotation. "Maybe someone like Matt, for instance, just becomes part of that group for sure every night," head coach Nick Nurse said. He dropped 16 points with five assists during the preseason opener. To be fair, Kyle Lowry wasn't available, but Thomas played well regardless. He could find himself with consistent playing time on a nightly basis. Thomas might not be a 12-team league option right away, but has definitely put himself on the fantasy radar.
