Milwaukee Bucks center Meyers Leonard has signed a second 10-day deal with the organization. The 33-year-old played 15 minutes during the blowout win over the Miami Heat. However, Leonard has played less than five minutes in every other game. It seems that the Bucks are keeping Leonard around as additional depth. As long as the Bucks are healthy, Leonard isn't going to play enough to contribute in fantasy leagues.
Oklahoma City Thunder power forward/center Meyers Leonard was dealt to his new organization Wednesday, but he will not actually see action with the squad. With Oklahoma City receiving a future second-round Draft choice as compensation for Trevor Ariza, they will look to move on from Leonard in the future in light of his off-the-court comments. Already down for the remainder of the season due to shoulder surgery, it's unclear what Leonard's NBA future holds. Set to play next year at 29 years old, Leonard has started 51 of the previous 54 games that he has appeared in, although he holds essentially zero fantasy value until a team shows interest in him.
Miami Heat forward Meyers Leonard has reportedly been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Miami will send Leonard and a 2027 second-round pick to OKC in exchange for veteran forward Trevor Ariza. This trade likely won't benefit either player in terms of fantasy value. Ariza hasn't played in a year and will have to compete for playing time on a stacked Heat roster. The Thunder are not competing and are looking towards a rebuild, which means they'd rather use their younger players. It would be surprising to see Leonard getting consistent minutes in OKC. In order for this trade to happen Leonard must waive his no-trade clause, which he is expected to do.
Meyers Leonard To Have Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery
Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard (shoulder) will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery this week. Leonard was not a big part of Miami's rotation this season and has not played in a game since January 9th. The surgery will not impact Miami's rotation much in terms of fantasy as Bam Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk are seeing the majority of the minutes at the four and five spots. Precious Achiuwa should continue seeing some run as they look to develop their 2020 first-round pick.
Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He suffered a left shoulder strain early in the month and hasn't played since then. Leonard wasn't offering much in terms of fantasy value when he was on the court anyway. Precious Achiuwa will continue gaining fantasy value while Leonard is sidelined.
Meyers Leonard Will Miss Third Straight Game Saturday
Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard (shoulder) has been ruled out for the third consecutive contest Saturday against the Pistons as he battles a shoulder ailment. Leonard has appeared in just three games this season, seeing a minimal role when active. His absence could loom large Saturday if Miami is unable to reach the requisite number of players to take the floor as they work through the league's health and safety protocols. At this stage, Leonard is not a relevant fantasy commodity, with managers able to look elsewhere for production until the Heat provide an update that he could be nearing a return.
Miami Heat power forward/center Meyers Leonard (shoulder) has been ruled out for Tuesday's contest versus Philadelphia due to a left shoulder injury. His absence, along with the Heat's extensive injury report due to the league's COVID-19 protocols, means that Miami will be immensely short-handed in the front court. Kelly Olynyk, Andre Iguodala, Chris Silvaand Precious Achiuwa all figure to see sizable upticks in usage without Leonard and others available Tuesday night. It bodes well for Leonard moving forward that he cleared the COVID-19 protocols, meaning that he could be back in action as soon Thursday when the team wraps up its set in Philly.
Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Boston Celtics. He suffered a left shoulder strain during Saturday's game, so it wouldn't be shocking to see Leonard sit out here. Kelly Olynyk (groin) and Precious Achiuwa are ahead of Leonard on the depth chart anyway. Leonard can remain on the waiver wire in just about every format. Achiuwa could have solid streaming appeal for Sunday's slate.
Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard is a free agent after the 2020-2021 season, but would like to stay with the organization. Im in a good place here in Miami, Leonard said. I really feel as though I help Jimmy [Butler] and Bam [Adebayo] in a lot of ways." He just wants to be a team player and help the organization win with whatever he needs to do. Leonard has started 49 games for the Heat this season, but his stats aren't exactly impressive at the moment. However, Leonard is improving his percentage from beyond the arc, which has been helpful for Miami. Whether or not Leonard returns to Miami remains to be seen, but it sounds like he'd love to sign an extension with the organization.
Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard (ankle) says he's feeling much better after getting a few weeks off to rest. He suffered a sprained left ankle before the NBA was suspended, but appears to be feeling better now. Leonard said he was about 90 percent ready in April, but now he has been given over six weeks to rest up. Leonard appears ready to play whenever the league does return.
