Montrezl Harrell Fantasy Stats

Free-agent forward/center Montrezl Harrell completed a post-practice workout with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Houston Rockets' G-League affiliate, on Sept. 12 as he continues his NBA comeback attempt. Harrell told Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson that the session with the coaching staff "went really well." The 32-year-old hasn't played in the NBA since 2022-23 but stayed active this year, averaging 17.3 points for Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rico and setting a BIG3 single-game record with 42 points. Harrell still believes his rim-running and screen-setting can translate, but there is no contract on the table yet. For now, the workout is simply another step toward getting back into the league.

Forward/center Montrezl Harrell has agreed to join the Adelaide 36ers in Australia, according to ESPN sources. The 2020 NBA Sixth Man of the Year will initially be on a short-term deal as an injury replacement. This will mark Harrell's return to competitive action for the first time since 2022-23. He missed the 2023-24 NBA season after suffering an ACL and meniscus tear. The 30-year-old has been a solid producer throughout his career, averaging 12.1 points and 5.0 rebounds in 20.5 minutes across 515 NBA regular-season games. Before signing a deal with the 36ers, Harrell reportedly participated in NBA minicamps ahead of the new campaign.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Montrezl Harrell (knee) is likely done for the season after suffering an injury during a recent workout. The 29-year-old has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and meniscus after undergoing an MRI on his right knee Wednesday. This is a tough blow after Harrell recently signed a one-year deal with the Sixers. The team hasn't announced a timetable for Harrell yet. However, it's safe to assume he's going to miss all or a majority of the upcoming 2023-2024 season. That means, Paul Reed and Mo Bamba are expected to have bigger roles with Harrell likely done for the season before it begins.

Philadelphia 76ers forward/center Montrezl Harrell has declined his player option and will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Harrell had a $2.7 million option on a two-year deal. The 29-year-old played a very marginal role in 2022-23 for Philadelphia, appearing in just 57 games and averaging 11.9 minutes. He will hope to land in a much better situation for next season. And with Harrell being voted the Sixth Man of the Year just three years ago, the energetic big man should get plenty of interest in the open market.

Philadelphia 76ers center Montrezl Harrell will move into the starting five for Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The Sixers will be without superstar big man Joel Embiid (foot) for this contest. This doesn't appear to be serious injury, but the Sixers want to be cautious with Embiid. Harrell is averaging 18 points per game over his last two contests. He should be a strong streaming option on Sunday.

Philadelphia 76ers center Montrezl Harrell (ribs) was unable to suit up for Sunday's practice. It sounds like he's dealing with a minor ribs issue, but it shouldn't be something that sidelines him for very long. Harrell is currently the third string center behind Joel Embiid and Paul Reed. He signed a two-year deal with the Sixers over the offseason. The expectation is that he'll have a decent role in the rotation, but we'll see. Charles Bassey should see more action, assuming Harrell doesn't suit up for Monday's preseason contest.

Free-agent forward/center Montrezl Harrell is officially a Sixer, according to a press release from the team. The deal is worth over $5 million, and the second year of the contract is a player option. The 28-year-old has an impressive resume, posting career averages of 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds while earning the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2020. With Harrell's legal issues behind him, he'll look for a fresh start in Philly and presumably support Joel Embiid from off the bench. He may even start here and there throughout the season. Either way, Harrell should see plenty of attention from deep league fantasy managers heading into the year.

Upcoming free-agent center Montrezl Harrell is facing up to five years in prison after being arrested on a felony drug charge. In May, the 28-year-old was pulled over by Kentucky State police for following a vehicle too closely. During the stop, officers allegedly smelled marijuana, prompting a search of his car and revealing three pounds of marijuana stuffed inside a backpack. Harrell began the 2021-22 campaign with the Wizards before he was moved to the Hornets ahead of the deadline, where he averaged 11.4 points, 4.9 boards, and 2.0 assists throughout 25 games in Charlotte. However, with time behind bars and a league suspension potentially on the horizon, it's unlikely any team will sign him this summer, which obviously wouldn't work out in his favor from a fantasy standpoint.

Center Montrezl Harrell has reportedly been dealt to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for center Vernon Carey Jr. and point guard Ish Smith. Harrell averaged 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds across just 24.3 minutes in 46 games for the Wizards during his first season with the franchise. But with the return of Thomas Bryant, Washington's frontcourt had begun to get crowded, paving the way for Harrell to join a Hornets group that could use his activity among the second unit. It remains to be seen how Harrell's arrival impacts the season-long viability of Mason Plumlee and P.J. Washington, but with the team currently down Gordon Hayward (ankle) and Jalen McDaniels (ankle), there should be ample minutes to go around.

Washington Wizards center Montrezl Harrell has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic. He has cleared the league's health and safety protocols. Although, he wasn't able to get to Orlando in time for the contest. The expectation is that Harrell will be available for the Wizards next game on Tuesday. In the meantime, Rui Hachimura and Davis Bertans (foot) will see additional playing time. Neither have much fantasy value and can likely be ignored here.
