Nassir Little Agrees To One-Year Deal With Heat

Forward Nassir Little is joining the Miami Heat on a one-year deal. According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Little's deal is expected to be partially guaranteed or non-guaranteed. The 24-year-old was available as a free agent after the Phoenix Suns waived Little four weeks ago. He saw very little action in Phoenix last season, averaging 10.2 minutes across 45 games. The former first-round pick has previously proven that he can contribute at this level, but Little's chances of carving out a significant role in Miami don't appear high.

Nassir Little Waived By Suns

Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little has been waived by the team. Little's stint with Phoenix came to an end after only 45 games. He was acquired ahead of last season from Portland in a three-team trade that sent Damian Lillard to Milwaukee. The 24-year-old couldn't make an impact on his new team, logging only 10.2 minutes per game and scoring 3.4 points. According to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, the Suns plan to stretch out the $22 million remaining on Little's deal over three years. Little had a solid campaign in 2021-22, posting 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds, but he has struggled to stay healthy and hasn't been a factor in fantasy hoops in recent years.

Nassir Little Probable For Thursday Against Boston

Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little (knee) is listed as probable against the Boston Celtics on Thursday. The 24-year-old has been kept off the court with inflammation in his left knee and has played in only two of the last 10 Suns games. Little's absence has yet to matter a lot for the Suns, as he's been limited to only 12.5 minutes a night across 34 games this season. However, he could see some playing time if Eric Gordon (knee) is unavailable.

Nassir Little Will Continue To Sit On Tuesday

Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little (knee) will sit out a fourth consecutive contest on Tuesday against Denver. The 24-year-old is kept off the court by inflammation in his left knee. Little's absence doesn't mean a lot for the Suns, as he's been limited to only 12.5 minutes a night across the season, although the former Trail Blazers could currently get some extra work with Devin Booker (ankle) on the shelf. His next chance to return comes on Thursday in a clash with Toronto.

Nassir Little Out On Thursday

Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little (knee) isn't available for Thursday's matchup against Houston. The 24-year-old is dealing with inflammation in his left knee. Little played less than a minute in the last game against the Lakers, so his absence won't impact the Suns in any way. Following a decent campaign in 2021-22, Little's play has deteriorated, and he hasn't done anything to boost his stock this season. The former first-round pick has averaged 3.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.5 minutes through 34 appearances.

Eric Gordon, Nassir Little Both Active On Sunday

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Eric Gordon (leg) and Nassir Little (knee) have both been upgraded to active on Sunday against the Washington Wizards. So far, the Suns have been a revolving door of injuries, but they at least get two contributors back in this easier Sunday night matchup. Gordon will likely move into the starting lineup since Bradley Beal (ankle) is out. Little, on the other hand, will remain in a bench role where he sees around 20 minutes. Gordon becomes a startable option across all fantasy leagues again while Little would be more of an option for those in deeper leagues.

Nassir Little Out On Tuesday

Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little (concussion) won't be available for Tuesday's matchup against the Warriors. He took a bad fall on Friday versus Sacramento, suffering an orbital fracture, and Little needs to clear concussion protocol before being available for selection again. Yuta Watanabe and Keita Bates-Diop could see an increased workload off the Suns bench in Little's absence., although both players carry very little fantasy value.

Nassir Little Lands In Concussion Protocol

Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little logged just four minutes in Friday's meeting with Sacramento and will need to clear concussion protocol before being available to return to the lineup. He had to exit the contest after taking a heavy fall in the first quarter. Little's absence likely won't hurt the Suns much, but he put in a few strong performances last month when Phoenix was short of healthy bodies. Yuta Watanabe, Jordan Goodwin, and Chimezie Metu logged the most action off the bench on Friday, as Kevin Durant (ankle) and Grayson Allen (groin) joined Bradley Beal (back) on the sidelines.

Nassir Little, Keon Johnson Shipped To Suns

The Portland Trail Blazers finally satisfied Damian Lillard's trade request on Wednesday, and forward Nassir Little and guard Keon Johnson ended up on the Phoenix Suns in the fallout of the comings and goings. The Suns also netted Jusuf Nurkic and Grayson Allen while Portland got Deandre Ayton out of Phoenix in the swap. Little took a step back last year after a decent 2021-22 season that saw him average 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 threes, and 0.9 blocks in 25.9 minutes over 42 games (23 starts). Johnson only averaged 4.7 points during 10.4 minutes a year ago, so he's likely hard-pressed to see meaningful run in the desert, too. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on names such as Matisse Thybulle and Kris Murray to absorb more minutes in Portland in wake of the move.

Nassir Little Undergoes An Abdominal Surgery

Portland Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little underwent a successful abdominal surgery to repair a right-side core injury, which is similar to the one he received last offseason. The 23-year-old seemed to return fully healthy at the beginning of the season but had a stretch of missed games for a little over a month before the All-Star break. He's struggled to expand on the role that he's been in, but depending on what happens with Damian Lillard, he may get some more opportunities.
