Otto Porter Jr. News
Orlando Magic forward Otto Porter Jr. (foot) will not play on Friday against the Grizzlies. The veteran has missed nearly a month of action while tending to soreness in his left foot. With the team looking toward next season and beyond, Porter may not be in the lineup for the remainder of the year, opening the door for Chuma Okeke to get some extra time on the floor. The 22-year-old had 18 points, three steals, and two blocks the other night against Cleveland and should be on the fantasy radar against Memphis.
Orlando Magic forward Otto Porter Jr. (foot) won't play on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Porter continues to deal with left foot pain, an ailment that has forced him to miss nearly a month of action. Without the veteran in the mix, Chuma Okeke should continue to an uptick in production, with the 22-year-old averaging 11.4 points, 4.8 boards, and a steal throughout 18 starts on the year.
Orlando Magic small/power forward Otto Porter Jr. has reportedly not sought a buyout for the final month-plus of the 2020-21 season, making it likely that he finishes the year with the team. Porter has come off of the bench in all three games that he has appeared for Orlando, averaging just 8.0 PPG while shooting 11.1 percent from behind the arc. Set to become an unrestricted free agent at season's end, Porter is coming off of a massive $106+ million deal that he inked with Washington. From a fantasy perspective, he has scuffled to find a consistent role, and with the Magic having little incentive to hand him piles of minutes in April and May, his season-long appeal may be correspondingly taking a hit.
Orlando Magic forward Otto Porter (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz. He is dealing with lingering foot pain, so we'll see if Porter is able to suit up for their next contest. Until then, James Ennis and Dwayne Bacon will see increased playing time. Ennis is the better option between the two, but remains a low-end streaming choice. Terrence Ross (ankle) is listed as questionable, but would gain the most value, assuming he does play Saturday.
