Patrick Patterson Ruled Out For Thursday’s Contest
Los Angeles Clippers power forward/center Patrick Patterson (personal) will miss Thursday's game against Memphis due to personal reasons. Patterson has been scarcely utilized this season, appearing in just two contests during February. A steady veteran presence, Patterson isn't a fantasy-relevant commodity barring the occasional promotion to the starting five. His next chance to return comes Friday in the second leg of a back-to-back versus the Grizzlies.
Patrick Patterson Says Clippers Continue To Stay In Touch
Los Angeles Clippers forward Patrick Patterson said that the organization holds hour-long workouts on Zoom three or four times a week. Patterson also mentioned that the Clippers sent him plenty of equipment to stay in shape during the hiatus. Unfortunately, like many players, Patterson doesn't have access to a basketball court or gym at the moment. He has been working out in his garage during the hiatus. Patterson expressed concern that not every player has the same resources and it could be difficult for players to get back into action on short notice. It's unclear when the NBA is going to return, but hopefully they give the players at least a few weeks to get back into game shape if they plan to finish out the season.
Patrick Patterson Cleared To Play, Enters Starting Five Monday
Los Angeles Clippers power forward Patrick Patterson is back in the mix for Mondays game versus the Indiana Pacers following a one-game absence due to back spasms. With Kawhi Leonard having already been ruled out, Patterson will not only suit up, but will enter the starting five and immediately become an intriguing DFS option for those eyeing low-priced options. Patterson started the first 11 games of the season for Los Angeles, but his performance has been erratic, having scored in single digits in nine of those contests.
Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Patrick Patterson followed up his 17-point game from Sunday as he scored eight points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting in 20 minutes of action on Tuesday. Patterson added two makes from three with two rebounds and a steal on the night. Patterson lost some minutes with the return of a healthy Steven Adams but is still worth owning in deeper leagues for his efficiencies from three and decent defensive numbers.
Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Patrick Patterson reminded everybody that he's still an NBA player on Sunday, logging a very good 30 minutes off the bench with 17 points and four rebounds against the Suns. He shot 6-for-10 from the field and 2-for-5 from downtown for his highest scoring output since Dec. 3, 2016. Steven Adams (left calf) was out, so there were frontcourt minutes to be eaten up and both Patterson and Nerlens Noel ended up enjoying the extra burn. Patterson had logged less than 20 minutes in all previous four outings this season, so he's not a guy you want to have on your team, but his fantasy value will be bumped up a bit if Adams misses time and he could be useful as a short-term pickup.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Patrick Patterson scored only seven points against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. Patterson wasn't very active, going only 2-for-4 from the field and 1-for-2 from deep. However, coach Billy Donovan has indicated that the team would be looking for the 29-year-old veteran to get more involved, especially on the offensive end and with the green light, look for Patterson to see an increase in his scoring numbers, especially if he shoots more from deep, a shot he has been known to hit consistently throughout his career.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Patrick Patterson (wrist) is questionable to play against the Washington Wizards on Thursday. He picked up the injury when he fell on Tuesday. The MRI came back clean and Patterson practiced on Wednesday. He went through shootaround but still has some soreness. This is likely headed towards a game-time decision call. Jerami Grant will see more minutes if Patterson does not suit up against the Wizards.
