P.J. Dozier News
Denver Nuggets guard P.J. Dozier (hamstring) and forward Will Barton (personal) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Dozier has not played since late January and his timetable to return is unclear. Regardless, he doesn't provide enough production to warrant rostering in basically any formats. Michael Porter Jr. stands to gain the most value without Dozier or Barton in the rotation. He's looking like a solid DFS option for Sunday's slate. He was already playing above average, so increased playing time should only help him.
Denver Nuggets shooting guards/small forwards Gary Harris (adductor) and P.J. Dozier (hamstring) will miss at least the team's next two contests, head coach Michael Malone confirmed. But it's not all pessimism, as Malone noted that the team expects to have the duo back during its upcoming road trip, which kicks off Tuesday in Boston. How Malone will rejigger the starting lineup upon Harris' return remains to be seen, but Will Barton and Michael Porter Jr. would be candidates to head the second unit, which may increase their offensive output. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Harris and Dozier's status beginning next week, as both figure to factor into the Nuggets' nightly rotation upon their activation.
Denver Nuggets shooting guards/small forwards Gary Harris (groin) and P.J. Dozier (hamstring) will miss Friday's contest against the Thunder. Neither player has taken the floor this month, and having been ruled out in excess of 24 hours prior to tip-off, they're likely not on track to return in the immediate future. Will Barton and Michael Porter Jr. figure to continue holding down starting gigs on the wing, increasing their respective season-long appeal. Harris is the more fantasy relevant of the injured duo, but he'll need to string strong performances together upon returning before he can be considered as a waiver-wire pickup in the vast majority of season-long formats.
Denver Nuggets forward P.J. Dozier (hamstring) is out on Saturday against Sacramento. The 24-year-old has missed his previous four games, so his absence against the Kings isn't a surprise by any means. In his stead, Paul Millsap and Michael Porter Jr. should see expanded roles.
