Sterling Brown Fantasy Stats

Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Sterling Brown posted a second consecutive double-double in Thursday's loss to the Bucks, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds. His line also included three assists and one steal as he shot 4-for-11 from the field and 2-for-6 at the foul line. Brown has earned back-to-back starts, with a number of his teammates out, and his play has been very solid. He'll likely disappear off the map when everybody gets healthy again, but that won't happen anytime soon by the looks of it. He should be set for another busy night on Christmas Day against Utah.

Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Sterling Brown and point guard Frank Ntilikina remain in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bucks with the team massively short-handed. Brown logged a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) across 33 minutes Tuesday, while Ntilikina delivered limited production in his 32 minutes. Without Kristaps Porzingis (toe), Luka Doncicand Tim Hardaway Jr. available, Dallas will have an all-hands-on-deck approach, which bodes well for the DFS upside of both Brown and Ntilikina. Neither has earned season-long consideration due to their limited respective roles within the second unit, but they will be on the radar while the Mavs seek offensive contributions.

Brown also notched three assists while shooting 5-for-8 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown. Dallas has lost a lot of players to various problems and it's given Brown a bigger role, which he filled very nicely on Tuesday. It remains to be seen how long he sticks in the starting unit, but Brown will be able to help a few fantasy managers out as long as he's served good minutes. The 26-year-old logged a season-high 33 minutes against the Timberwolves.

He's been out for six games with left foot soreness but looks ready to return now. The 26-year-old hasn't done a lot this season, getting only three points and three rebounds per game, but the Mavericks are currently rolling with a depleted roster and Brown should have an opportunity to get some meaningful minutes. With that said, there are surely a lot better options out there for fantasy managers.

Houston Rockets guard Sterling Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic. He has missed a week straight of action and it's uncertain when he'll get back on the court. His absence will mean more playing time for Avery Bradley and Armoni Brooks. Neither of them are valuable fantasy options, but Bradley does have some upside because of his defensive ability.

Brown had been bounced back to the second unit over the past two contests, but the absence of Victor Oladipo (rest) on the second leg of a back-to-back paves the way for Brown to become a significant DFS factor. When starting this season, Brown has averaged just shy of 34 minutes per contest, allowing him to compile 10.6 points and 5.7 boards in those outings. With Oladipo and Kevin Porter Jr. (quad) in the mix moving forward, Brown is not a reliable season-long asset at this stage.

Brown was playing well for the shorthanded Rockets before getting injured. However, newly acquired Victor Oladipo is sliding into the rotation now. Brown is expected to see his minutes reduced and he probably won't have great streaming appeal while Oladipo is healthy.

Brown missed Saturday's game, which would have been another potential fantasy boon, following a 23-point showing in his first start of the year earlier in the week. With John Wall (knee) out Monday, Houston will need all of the backcourt depth that it can get, although the return of Eric Gordon (leg) likely knocks much of the fantasy shine off of Brown. Check back prior to tip-off to see if he gets the green light to take the court.

Houston Rockets guard Sterling Brown (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. He was listed as a game-time decision until the trade with the Nets was finalized, allowing Rodions Kurucs to be on the active roster. Kurucs gives the Rockets the required eight players to be eligible to play a game. Christian Wood is going to be the focal point of the offense and will see his fantasy value skyrocket for this contest.
