The Washington Wizards have officially signed point guard Tomas Satoransky, who agreed to a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs this past week. The Wizards will be Satoransky's third team this season as he began the year with the New Orleans Pelicans, who sent him to the Spurs in the three-team deal that landed the franchise C.J. McCollum. Satoransky will compete with Raul Neto and Ish Smith for minutes at the point in Washington. Satoransky could wind up earning the starting role for the team, which makes him a decent stash for any deep league managers in need of help with assists.
San Antonio Spurs guard Tomas Satoransky has agreed to a buyout with the organization. He was traded to San Antonio at the trade deadline, but doesn't have much of a role on the rebuilding Spurs roster. That being said, Satoransky is leaving San Antonio and is expected to sign with the Washington Wizards. His best seasons of his career came as a member of the Wizards. Satoransky appears to be an upgrade over Raul Neto and Ish Smith. He's worth monitoring in most formats and is likely worth snagging right away in deep leagues.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tomas Satoransky will move into the starting five for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. It was announced that Devonte' Graham (foot) has been ruled out for this game. It wouldn't be surprising to see Graham miss more than one game due to this issue. In the meantime, Satoransky will start and be a favorable streaming option. Kira Lewis Jr. should see more minutes as well, but Satoransky is the much better fantasy target here.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tomas Satoransky (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers. This is not a COVID-related illness, so fantasy managers don't need to worry. Although, Satoransky's absence would mean more minutes for Kira Lewis Jr. Devonte' Graham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Graham has the highest upside out of the trio and could be a sneaky DFS option with additional playing time.
Guard Tomas Satoransky is heading to the Pelicans after he was included in a deal that sent Lonzo Ball to Chicago. The 29-year-old has a chance to see an uptick in production in New Orleans after he's had flashes of inconsistent efficiency over the years. He averaged 9.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 1.2 steals throughout 18 starts during the 2020-21 campaign, but if given a more prominent role in his new home, he has the potential to be a sneaky fantasy option with a higher ceiling than most realize.
Chicago Bulls guard Tomas Satoransky (illness, back) will be available for Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was held out of Friday's contest due to a non-COVID related illness and back soreness. His return should bump Coby White back to the bench for this game. However, White will still have plenty of fantasy value with Zach LaVine sidelined due to the NBA's health and safety protocol. White will be worth looking at in DFS contests for Saturday's slate.
Tomas Satoransky Ruled Out Friday, Coby White Draws Start
Chicago Bulls point guard Tomas Satoransky (back) will be unavailable for Friday's contest against the Grizzlies, paving the way for Coby White to return to the starting five. The two flipped starting/reserve roles shortly after the All-Star break, with Satoransky averaging 9.3 points and 6.1 assists per contest in that span. White has seen an offensive role reduction since moving to the second unit, but the absence of Zach LaVine (health protocols) should help his fantasy prospects in the short-term. As for Friday, White stands to be one of the premier DFS upside plays of the slate due to his unabated access to minutes and shots coming out of the backcourt.
Tomas Satoransky Posts Double-Double With Good Shooting
Chicago Bulls point guard Tomas Satoransky picked up a double-double in Sunday's win over the Nets with a season-high 19 points and 11 assists. He missed just two of his 10 shots from the field and went 2-for-3 with the three-ball. Satoransky's work included two steals. The 29-year-old has worked his way into the starting lineup, which has greatly boosted his fantasy value. The Bulls tried to mix Coby White and Zach LaVine together, but White's playmaking skills still need improvement and Satoransky looks like a better backcourt partner for LaVine, who had 25 points on 8-for-17 shooting in Sunday's win.
Chicago Bulls guard Tomas Satoranskyhas still yet to return to practice due to COVID-19, which means it's highly unlikely that he plays on Friday. Satoransky and Chandler Hutchison are the only two Bulls who have yet to be cleared to practice. Denzel Valentine and Garrett Temple will continue seeing more playing time until Satoransky and Hutchison return. Both could be possible short-term deep league options with the Bulls short-handed.
Chicago Bulls guard Tomas Satoransky (rest) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. He'll be joined by Lauri Markkanen, Ryan Arcidiacano and Chandler Hutchison who are all quarantined. Coby White will be the biggest winner here as he dropped 16 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds in 40 minutes last game. He'll have great streaming appeal with the Bulls having limited options on Friday.
