Atlanta Hawks forward Vince Carter has officially decided to call it a career after 22 seasons in the NBA. He won the 1999 Rookie of the Year award, made eight All-Star teams and is one of the best dunkers in the history of the game. He was unfortunately unable to win an NBA championship throughout his career. However, Carter was one of the best veteran mentors for young NBA players. He is a no-doubt Hall of Fame player and someone who inspired many throughout his time in the league.

The 22-year veteran has played exactly 16 minutes in each of his previous four outings, keeping him slightly below the threshold of players worth targeting in traditional formats.

Vinsanity, at 41 years old, had his first 20-point game in a Hawks jersey and he became the oldest player in NBA history to lead or tie for the team lead in scoring. "More than anything, I wanted to bring the energy," Carter said. "I'm not the youngest guy, but I want to play the hardest." Vinsanity is still in effect in deeper fantasy leagues, as the ageless veteran continues to show he still has something left in the tank.

Atlanta Hawks guard/forward Vince Carter rolled back the years on Sunday, finishing a 98-95 win over Detroit as the team's leading scorer. Vinsanity scored 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting in 28 minutes off the bench, adding seven rebounds and two assists to his tally. He was 3-for-9 from deep. It was a great performance from the veteran, especially as it came in a winning effort, but it will be very tough to repeat it. Carter is averaging less than 20 minutes per game for the year and he's only been a 40 percent shooter.

Carter was five of 15 from the floor while connecting on two makes from three and hauled in five rebounds with an assist in 21 minutes. It was fitting that he recorded the mark with a two-handed flush right down the middle of the lane in the dying seconds and that it was against the Raptors. Carter is not roster worthy in most formats, but is still fun to watch for moments like these.

Carter was 4-for-9 from the floor with all but two of his shot attempts coming from beyond the arc. He also contributed two rebounds, one assist, one block along with a steal. The 41-year-old wing has started all five games this season with John Collins (ankle) currently on the shelf. However, Carter is averaging just 21 minutes a game and the only two things he has provided for fantasy owners is low double-figure scoring and some three-point shooting, so it is best to leave him on the waiver wire.

Sacramento Kings guard/forward Vince Carter is expected to spend the rest of the season in Sacramento. There were rumors of a buyout, but the Kings reportedly said they prefer not to buy out Carter. The Raptors would have been an ideal fit for the 41-year-old veteran, but there is a chance he signs with Toronto over the summer. Carter could then finish his career where it begin in Toronto. It is unclear how the Kings plan to use Carter in the second half. We'll likely see more youth from the Kings, but Carter should still see minutes in the teens at minimum. He's only worth considering in deeper leagues, and that's even risky.
