Will Barton News
Denver Nuggets forward Will Barton totaled 20 points with six rebounds, five assists, four triples, and a steal in a 110-98 win over Phoenix. Barton seems likely to take on some of the usage available with Jamal Murray (knee) sidelined, as he played 34 minutes, tied for second on the team, and took 14 shots, also ranking second. Michael Porter Jr. will have better nights, as will Aaron Gorson- though it's reasonable to expect nights like this from Barton moving forward. He could warrant some DFS consideration as a result of his increased role.
Denver Nuggets forward Will Barton (hamstring) is reportedly feeling good heading into the 2021-22 season, crediting his offseason fitness regimen. The veteran agreed to a $32 million deal a few weeks ago to keep him with the team for the next two years. When available, the 30-year-old veteran has been a relatively reliable fantasy option, most recently finishing the 2020 campaign by averaging 12.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and shooting 38 percent from deep. However, injuries have plagued the veteran, including a hamstring strain that relegated him to only 56 games during the regular season and three in the playoffs. Still, the 30-year-old should remain on the fantasy radar, although managers should anticipate some absences moving ahead.
Denver Nuggets forward Will Barton (hamstring) is out for Game 5 against Portland. This isn't a surprise, primarily since the veteran hasn't played in over a month while tending to a strained right hamstring. He was observed riding the bike on the sidelines during the Game 4 loss to the Blazers, which is good news, although there is still a good chance he won't be back anytime during this series. Nonetheless, even if Barton does return at some point, he likely won't see a full allotment of minutes. However, he may get enough to lessen the DFS potential of Austin Rivers, Facundo Campazzo, and Monte Morris.
Denver Nuggets forward Will Barton (hamstring) won't play during the Game 4 clash against Portland. The veteran hasn't been available for over a month while dealing with a strained right hamstring, and while he was rumored to be available at some point during the series, things aren't looking promising. The Nuggets may continue to play smaller than usual while also allowing Aaron Gordon to see more minutes at the four, with the 25-year-old averaging 14 points and six boards throughout the first three games of the postseason.
