ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Arizona Cardinals will release veteran wide receiver Aaron Dobson. This comes as little surprise, as Dobson failed to make a huge impact during the preseason. With the depth that the Cardinals already possess at the position, fantasy owners should not worry about this loss, as it just frees up space for the top of the depth chart. There has never been any doubt who the top receivers for the Cardinals will be this season, and barring an injury, the receiving core looks to stay the same throughout the season.
Chad Williams, John Brown, Aaron Dobson All Scheduled To Practice Fully
According to Arizona Cardinals beat writer Darren Urban, rookie wide receiver Chad Williams and veterans John Brown and Aaron Dobson all returned to full practice with the team Tuesday. This is encouraging, as the receiving unit as a whole has taken heavy criticism from head coach Bruce Arians the past few days. For Williams, he now has time to build more of a connection with quarterback Carson Palmer and also gets valuable minutes to learn that will aid him in the long term. For Brown, owners in redraft formats should be pleased that he made a return to full practice and will now have to wait to see how much involvement he will have in the following preseason games, as well as if he will be able to reclaim his spot as the No. 2 receiver on the depth chart following his extended absence.
