Andrus Peat Signs With Raiders

Former New Orleans Saints starting offensive lineman Andrus Peat signed an undisclosed deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, according to a source. The move will give the Raiders some additional offensive-line depth after this year's draft. The 30-year-old was originally the 13th overall pick by the Saints in 2015 out of Stanford. Peat spent the first nine years of his NFL career in New Orleans before joining the Raiders this offseason. He made three consecutive Pro Bowls in 2018 through 2020, but he'll enter the 2024 campaign as a backup behind starting left guard Dylan Parham. In his nine NFL seasons, Peat has started 102 of the 111 games in which he's appeared in.

Andrus Peat Considered Week-To-Week

New Orleans Saints offensive guard Andrus Peat (pectoral) suffered a strained pectoral muscle in the Week 6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and is considered week-to-week, according to a source. With the Saints playing this week on Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals, Peat will not be able to play in that game. The good news is that the Saints have a bye in Week 8, so there's a chance he'll be ready to return in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders. With the 28-year-old sidelined on Thursday, look for the Saints to turn to either Calvin Throckmorton or Landon Young on the offensive line.

Andrus Peat Ruled Out Sunday

New Orleans Saints starting left guard Andrus Peat (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old's role on the Saints' offensive line tasks him with protecting Alvin Kamara, Jameis Winston, and others.

Andrus Peat Needs Surgery For Torn Pectoral

New Orleans Saints offensive guard Andrus Peat (pectoral) will undergo season-ending surgery on his torn pectoral on Friday, according to a source. Peat suffered the torn pectoral early on in the Monday night win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. The injuries continue for Peat, as he's never played a full season in the NFL since being drafted in the first round by the Saints in 2015. The 27-year-old missed several weeks last season with a broken thumb and also missed six weeks in 2019 with a broken arm. In his absence, Calvin Throckmorton is expected to replace him as the starting guard on New Orleans' offensive line.

Andrus Peat Feared To Have Suffered Torn Pectoral

New Orleans Saints offensive guard Andrus Peat (pectoral) is feared to have suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the Monday night win over the Seattle Seahawks, according to sources. Peat is waiting on MRI results to confirm what would be a season-ending injury. He was only able to play 17 offensive snaps against Seattle before leaving the game with the injury. With Peat leaving the game, Calvin Throckmorton finished the game in his spot after playing the opposite guard spot the last several weeks while filling in for Cesar Ruiz, who had shifted to center to replace Erik McCoy. McCoy's returned on Monday night for the first time since the season opener. Peat hasn't played a full season in his seven seasons in New Orleans, and he's unlikely to play again this year.

Andrus Peat Suffers Concussion

New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Andrus Peat has been ruled out of the rest of his team's Week 11 contest against the Atlanta Falcons after suffering a concussion. Peat has played the majority of the snaps in each Saints game this year, including playing every offensive snap four times. Peat's absence will hurt a Saints team that is becoming more run-heavy with Taysom Hill playing quarterback.

Andrus Peat Has High Ankle Sprain

The initial diagnosis on New Orleans Saints offensive guard Andrus Peat (ankle) showed a high ankle injury, according to a source. Peat will undergo more tests on Monday after getting injured in the Sunday night loss to the Packers, but high ankle injuries can sideline players up to six weeks, so don't be surprised if the Saints lose one of their best offensive lineman for multiple weeks. The 26-year-old also missed some time in 2019 with a broken arm. New Orleans will be crossing their fingers that he won't be sidelined for too long, as Peat made the Pro Bowl in both 2018 and 2019 despite not playing a full season in either year.

Andrus Peat Dealing With Broken Thumb

New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl offensive guard Andrus Peat (thumb) has a broken thumb, according to a source. Peat's timetable for a return is unclear, and it will depend on whether he needs surgery to fix the thumb. As of right now, he has not been ruled out for the regular season opener. The 26-year-old is a key piece of New Orleans' stellar offensive line, so losing him to begin the 2020 campaign would be a slight downgrade for quarterback Drew Brees. Peat played in just 10 games last season, but he was effective when healthy and has been a first-team All-Pro each of the last two years in New Orleans.

Saints Re-Sign Andrus Peat To Five-Year Deal

The New Orleans Saints re-signed offensive tackle Andrus Peat to a five-year, $57.5 million deal on Friday, according to a source. The deal includes $33 million in guarantees. Peat was the 13th overall pick of the 2015 draft for New Orleans, and he's been a Pro Bowler each of the past two seasons. The 26-year-old has never played in a full season in his five seasons in the NFL, including just 23 games each of the last two seasons, but he's an essential part of the team's offensive line when he's healthy and active on game days.

Andrus Peat Out Six Weeks With Broken Arm

New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl offensive guard Andrus Peat (arm) underwent surgery on Wednesday for a broken arm that he suffered in Week 10, and he's expected to be out for six weeks, according to a source. It's bad news for a Saints offense that surprisingly struggled to protect quarterback Drew Brees against a bad Falcons offense last Sunday. It's a downgrade for Brees and running back Alvin Kamara moving forward, but they should be able to rebound nicely in Week 11 against the Buccaneers.
