Ben Cleveland Remaining With Ravens

Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Ben Cleveland has re-signed with the organization. Cleveland is back with the team after spending the first four seasons with his career with the team. He is a former third-round pick of the Ravens from 2021. Cleveland has made some spot starts in his career, but has mainly been a rotational player. He played in all 19 games for the Ravens last season, including the playoffs. Cleveland will probably be a depth or rotational player next season, but the fact he has been a viable and healthy option makes him valuable to the team.

Ben Cleveland Arrested For DUI

Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Ben Cleveland was arrested in Georgia on Feb. 12 for driving under the influence of alcohol and for failing to maintain his lane, according to The Baltimore Sun's Brian Wacker. Cleveland, who was originally a third-round selection by Baltimore in 2021 out of the University of Georgia, is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in March. After his DUI arrest, the Ravens could be looking to move on from the former 94th overall pick. He's been a backup left guard in all four of his NFL seasons in Baltimore and played in a career-high 17 games (no starts), including two playoff contests, in 2024. In his four years in the league, Cleveland has appeared in 54 games but only has seven starts for the Ravens.

Ben Cleveland Being Moved Around

Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Ben Cleveland has been the presumed favorite to start at left guard in 2023 to replace Ben Powers. But over the final few weeks of offseason workouts, John Simpson, Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, and Daniel Faalele have gotten opportunities to state their case, while Cleveland has been moved around the offensive line. The Ravens might be at the point where they are trying to determine if the oft-injured Cleveland might help them elsewhere. It doesn't bode well for the former third-round pick in 2021, and he's going to need to report to training camp at the end of July ready to make a statement.

Baltimore Selects Ben Cleveland At No. 94 Overall

The Baltimore Ravens selected Georgia offensive lineman Ben Cleveland with the No. 94 overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday night. Cleveland is a beast on the football field, and he should help offset the loss of right tackle Orlando Brown Jr., who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. At 6-foot-6, 335 pounds, Cleveland has the size and strength to be a Week 1 starter in his rookie season if the Ravens choose to go that route. In a run-first offense, Baltimore will surely rely on his pure strength and physicality on the offensive line. He can be stiff with his lateral movement, but Cleveland has good hands and fits nicely with the Ravens physical style of play.
