New York Giants wide receiver C.J. Board (arm) was placed on Injured Reserve on Tuesday after suffering a broken arm in the Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Board will miss at least the next three games while on IR, but he'll probably be out longer. The 27-year-old has just four catches on six targets for 51 yards through the first six games of the season, and he hasn't played more than 31% of the offensive snaps in any one game so far this season. With Kenny Golladay (knee) and rookie Kadarius Toney (ankle) unlikely to play in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers, the Giants could be down to Sterling Shepard, Dante Pettis, Collin Johnson and John Ross as their primary receivers.
New York Giants wide receiver C.J. Board (arm) suffered a broken arm in Sunday's 38-11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He was carted off in the first half with an air cast on his left arm and did not return. The 27-year-old did not record a catch before exiting. The Giants have been destroyed with injuries at the wide receiver position as now Kenny Golladay (knee), Kadarius Toney (ankle), Darius Slayton (hamstring), and Board are sidelined. Board is expected to be placed on injured reserve and miss an extensive amount of time. Dante Pettis and Collin Johnson would see an increased role, but neither is on the fantasy radar at the moment.
New York Giants wide receiver C.J. Board was carted off the field during Sunday's game against the Rams with an air cast on his left arm/wrist. It's safe to assume that Board, who didn't have a reception on Sunday, won't return, leaving an already-injured Giants receiving unit even weaker. Expect to see Dante Pettis and Collin Johnson more with Boar out. At this point, neither player has much fantasy relevance going forward.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have a battle on their hands for the sixth wide receiver spot -- if they choose to keep six -- between Terrelle Pryor and Tre McBride, but Jacksonville.com's John Reid suggests we should keep an eye on C.J. Board in the preseason finale. Board has had nine receptions for 110 yards over the past two preseason games for the Jaguars and has been making a major impact late in these games, but it might take a Herculean effort for him to actually jump over Pryor and McBride. Board could be worth a stash in deep dynasty leagues, though, as his preseason play could help him grab a spot at the end of some other team's roster if Jacksonville does move on.
