Detroit Lions wide receiver Chase Cota scored the team's only touchdown in Saturday's preseason loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching a pass from Nate Sudfeld. Overall, he caught two of his five targets for nine yards and a score. The 23-year-old wideout joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Oregon and is fighting for a roster spot. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Marvin Jones Jr., Kalif Raymond, and Josh Reynolds are locks to make the roster, but there is a roster spot open for an additional wide receiver while Jameson Williams (hamstring) serves his six-game suspension to begin the 2023 campaign.
