Chris Warren III Impressive Yet Again In Preseason Action

Oakland Raiders running back Chris Warren III put up a fantastic performance Saturday versus the Rams. He ended with 110 rushing yards and one touchdown on 18 carries. He was the only running back who saw action in the rushing game, which could be an encouraging sign for him, as he is competing for what should be the fourth running back spot on the roster. Warren, Jalen Richard, and Deandre Washington are fighting for the final two running back spots, with Richard almost certainly the number three back, leaving only one spot open.

Chris Warren III Looking To Build On Strong First Game

Oakland Raiders rookie running back Chris Warren III is coming off a very strong game in the Raiders preseason opener, where he ran for 86 yards on 13 carries, which was a team high. According to Matt Schneidman, Mercury News, Raiders running backs coach Jemal Singleton said Warren needs to improve on his pass protection. Warren should be in line for plenty of playing time today, as we likely won't see Marshawn Lynch for an extended period of time.

Chris Warren Shines in Preseason Opener

Oakland Raiders rookie running back Chris Warren performed well in the teams preseason-opening win vs the Lions. He finished with a team-high 13 carries for 86 yards, with a long run of 26 yards. Warren is an undrafted rookie who was listed third on the Raiders first official depth chart which came out last week. He was listed alongside Jalen Richard, who spent the last two seasons in Oakland. If Warren makes the team, he could be a viable waiver pickup, depending on the health and consistency of veteran running back Marshawn Lynch.
