Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Cody Core has been promoted to the No. 2 spot on the teams depth chart, at least for now. Listed behind Tyler Boyd, who is now the lead wideout as a result of the injury to A.J. Green (who could miss the next eight weeks with an ankle injury), and with John Ross dealing with hamstring tightness, the 25-year-old could have some value in deeper fantasy leagues this season, at least initially. Core, who finished the 2018 campaign with 13 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown, is worth keeping an eye on, especially in Week 1 DFS contests against a mediocre Seahawks defense.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Mark Walton and wide receivers Cody Core and Auden Tate are all inactive for Week 2 against the Ravens on Thursday. All three were also inactive in the season opener against the Colts and are nowhere near the fantasy radar, for obvious reasons.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Mark Walton and wide receiver Cody Core (back) are inactive for Week 1 against the Colts. Wide receiver Auden Tate is also a healthy scratch for this one. With the rookie Walton inactive, Tra Carson should serve as the No. 3 back behind Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard. Core and the rookie Tate were not anywhere close to being on the fantasy radar in Week 1 while being buried on the depth chart.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Cody Core (back) did not practice on Wednesday. It doesn't bode well for Ware's availability in Week 1 against the Colts, but he still has two days to hit the practice field. However, even if Core plays he won't be on the fantasy map, as he's behind A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, John Ross and Josh Malone on the depth chart.
Cody Core had a solid game against the Ravens in Week 17. The rookie receiver caught four passes for 82 yards to lead the Bengals in receiving. Core came on strong at the end of the season, racking up 12 receptions for 121 yards in the final two games of the season. Granted, much of Core's opportunity came because of the injuries to A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert, but Core was still able to take advantage of the additional playing time. Core finishes his rookie year with 17 catches for 200 yards and his excellent play over the final two weeks of the season puts him on the radar in deep dynasty leagues.
