Denzelle Good To Retire

The Las Vegas Raiders placed veteran offensive guard/tackle Denzelle Good on the Reserve/Retired list on Monday. He started 43 games in seven NFL seasons after being taken in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts out of Mars Hill College. Good started a career-high 14 games for the Raiders in 2020 before he suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his knee in the season opener last year. It's bad news for the Raiders offensive line with training camp starting last week, as the 31-year-old offensive lineman was expected to open the year in a starting role at guard.

Denzelle Good Back At Practice

Las Vegas Raiders offensive guard Denzelle Good (knee) is back at practice at training camp for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in Week 1 of last season. Good obviously missed all of organized team activities this spring and mandatory minicamp in June, but he's back on the field now and should be ready for the start of the regular season, barring a setback in camp. If healthy, the 31-year-old veteran is expected to be a starter on the Raiders offensive line this year. Good was originally a seventh-round selection of the Indianapolis Colts in 2015 out of Mars Hill College. He joined the Raiders in 2018 and is heading into his fourth full season with the team.

Denzelle Good Out For The Season With Torn ACL

Las Vegas Raiders starting offensive guard Denzelle Good (knee) suffered a torn ACL in Monday night's season-opening overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens and will miss the rest of the season, according to a source. It's a tough break for Good and the Raiders offensive line, which was overhauled in the offseason, minus Good. The 30-year-old started 14 games at left guard for the Raiders in 2020. Jermaine Eluemunor, who replaced Good in the second half on Monday night, will likely take over the starting left guard job moving forward. Las Vegas' new offensive line was able to keep quarterback Derek Carr relatively clean against a strong Ravens defense, but Good's loss is potentially serious blow.

Denzelle Good Re-Signing With Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are re-signing offensive lineman Denzelle Good to an undisclosed two-year deal on Wednesday, according to a source. After the surprise release of All-Pro center Rodney Hudson on Tuesday, the Raiders are retaining Good along the offensive line. Las Vegas also recently released both starting guards Gabe Jackson and Richie Incognito, so Good will be part of the rebuild at O-line. Good filled in at left guard for most of last season and even played a few games at right tackle, so his versatility is key. With the rest of the offensive line market incredibly thin, it made a lot of sense for the Raiders to keep Good around heading into 2021.

Denzelle Good Week-To-Week With Knee Injury

The Indianapolis Colts offensive line has left much to be desired for quarterbackAndrew Luck's entire career. Right tackle Denzelle Good (knee) is considered week-to-week with his most recent injury in his much-maligned career. While the Colts weren't considered to have a top-end offensive line, Good represents a significant upgrade over the players behind him on the depth chart. He'll most likely get this week off, but Luck and the Colts coaching staff will hope he's back in Week 1. If he's healthy, this could easily be the best offensive line of Luck's career. However, if Good isn't fully healthy, this projected high-scoring offense might not be so high-scoring early on.
