Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Dezmon Patmon was targeted six times in the 24-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he hauled in just two of them for 24 yards in Week 2. Patmon was a healthy scratch in the season-opening tie with the Houston Texans, but he was active in this one with both Michael Pittman Jr. (quadriceps) and rookie Alec Pierce (concussion) out. Ashton Dulin served as quarterback Matt Ryan's top pass-catcher with five catches for 79 yards on seven targets. Patmon and Mike Strachan combined for just three grabs for 47 yards in the blowout loss to drop the Colts to 0-1-1 to begin the year. It's unclear if one or both of Pittman and Pierce will be ready to play in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but Patmon certainly isn't worth a waiver-wire pickup.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Dezmon Patmon has been one of the better surprises for this team during training camp. The former sixth-round pick went over 100 receiving yards during their last game. On Saturday, Patmon hauled in all three of his targets for 50 yards in the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 24-year-old is making plays when called upon, which is great to see. Possibly, he earns himself the No. 4 or 5 wideout spot on the roster. He could be someone worth watching in deep leagues and could be on the radar as a stash in dynasty formats.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Dezmon Patmon made a big impact during Saturday's preseason contest against the Detroit Lions. The 24-year-old is currently competing for a backup spot and has certainly made a strong impression. On Saturday, Patmon hauled in five of his six targets for 103 receiving yards and one touchdown in the loss. The former sixth-round pick has a legitimate shot at being the No. 5 or possibly the fourth wideout on the roster. Despite that, it's tough to imagine him having any fantasy value while the Colts are healthy. Although, he's worth keeping an eye on in case the Colts lose a player or two due to injuries.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Dezmon Patmon caught a 14-yard touchdown during a 22-16 Week 16 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The second-year wideout proved to be clutch when targeted, hauling in his lone target to extend the Colts' lead to 22-13 in the final seven minutes of Saturday's win. He is not relevant in redraft leagues but has attractive appeal in dynasty leagues, assuming Patmon gets more usage with the Colts or another team in the future.
Indianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Dezmon Patmon, who had just 12 career starts in college, is unlikely to make an immediate impact in his rookie season. Wideouts T.Y. Hilton, fellow rookie Michael Pittman Jr., Parris Campbell and Zach Pascal are four locks at the position. Patmon will be in the mix with Marcus Johnson, Reece Fountain and Ashton Dulin in trying to fill out the receiver room this summer. Even if injuries occur within the group, Patmon is unlikely to see a considerable role in 2020.
The Indianapolis Colts added some much-needed receiver depth behind T.Y. Hilton by drafting Dezmon Patmon out of Washington State. Patmon is a huge target for new quarterbackPhilip Rivers. At 6-foot-4, Patmon's ability to high point the ball will make him a threat in the red zone. He's a burner who was used primarily as a vertical receiver with the Cougars, so he'll need to expand his route tree to become a more complete NFL receiver. Still, there's intriguing upside with Patmon going to an Indianapolis offense that is in need of playmakers on the outside.
