Dontrell Hilliard Placed On Injured Reserve

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard (neck) was placed on the injured reserve list on Saturday. Hilliard wasn't involved much on the ground this season, but he still totaled four receiving touchdowns. However, considering the 27-year-old had to be carted off the field during the Week 14 loss to Philadelphia with a neck injury, the move to the IR was a formality to open up a spot for Julius Chestnut to be added to the active roster. While Hassan Haskins is expected to be the No. 2 option on the depth chart, Derrick Henry undoubtedly remains in charge of the backfield, leaving little room for anyone else to make a difference for fantasy managers.

Dontrell Hilliard Won't Face Chargers

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard won't play in Week 15 after being carted off the field in Week 14 with a neck injury. Head coach Mike Vrabel has already ruled him out. In his absence, Hassan Haskins will be the backup to Derrick Henry if he is able to play after missing the last two games with a hip injury. If Haskins remains out, rookie running back Julius Chestnut could see work as the Titans' RB2. Regardless, no Titans' running back not named Derrick Henry should be started in Week 15, but Chestnut or Haskins can be stashed in deep leagues.

Dontrell Hilliard Questionable With Neck Injury

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard (neck) is questionable to return after suffering a scary injury on special teams. He tallied zero offensive touches before exiting but did return one kickoff and two punts. In his absence, rookie Julius Chestnut should operate as the backup running back and primary returner.

Dontrell Hilliard Scores Fourth Touchdown Of The Season

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard saw just two total touches in the win over the Green Bay Packers, but he produced 20 total yards and a touchdown with the small workload. He's far from a safe fantasy option, but he's worth rostering in deep leagues as he'd be a high-upside PPR play if something were to happen to Derrick Henry in the future. He's explosive with the ball in his hands and clearly has a nose for the end zone, so consider him a top handcuff RB moving forward.

Dontrell Hilliard Fully Practices Thursday

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard (groin) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He was a limited participant on Wednesday but upgraded to full in Thursday's session. The 27-year-old is expected to complement star running back Derrick Henry in Sunday's matchup against the Denver Broncos. He has 17 carries for 121 yards while catching 14 passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns over seven games in 2022. Hilliard is mainly in on passing downs and will have a limited role against the Broncos, making him a boom-or-bust flex option in deep-league formats.

Dontrell Hilliard Could Be A Factor Against Chiefs

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard could have a role in the Titans' game plan against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. If Tennessee gets behind early, Hilliard could see plenty of receiving work since the Titans will be forced to pass. Hilliard already has three receiving touchdowns on the season, and he could be on the fantasy radar for Week 9. That said, Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is in danger of missing this game, and Hilliard's upside would be reduced if Malik Willis gets his second career start as the whole offense takes a step back. Either way, Hilliard is only a deep-league desperation play.

Dontrell Hilliard Totals 95 Yards In Win

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard totaled 95 yards on nine touches, making him a decent deep league flex play for fantasy managers in a tough spot. Hilliard has been explosive and shown he can produce when given the chance, so he should be rostered in deep leagues, at least as Derrick Henry's handcuff. If something were to happen to Henry, Hilliard would likely handle a workhorse role. For now, he has a low floor since Henry is the clear bell cow back, but he could have some sneaky value later in the season.

Dontrell Hilliard Scores Touchdown In Win

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard caught four passes for 23 yards and a touchdown in the win against the Washington Commanders. Since he totals just five touches, he's still far from a safe fantasy option. That said, he has a place on rosters in deep leagues as a handcuff with some standalone value or as trade bait. As long as Derrick Henry remains healthy, he's just a bench stash and has no real fantasy floor.

Dontrell Hilliard Catches Four Passes In Win

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard caught all four of his targets for 18 yards in the win against the Indianapolis Colts. After two largely unproductive weeks, Hilliard is merely a deep league PPR flex play while Derrick Henry remains healthy. Hilliard will likely have solid weeks with a touchdown or two, but it'll be impossible to predict when they will come. For now, his value is just as a high-end RB handcuff in shallow leagues. There are likely running backs on waiver with brighter fantasy outlooks moving forward.

Dontrell Hilliard A Deep-League PPR Consideration

Tennessee Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard handled just three touches for 44 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3, so his floor is clearly low as Derrick Henry's backup. He exploded for two touchdowns in Week 1, but it's important to note he only handled five touches in that contest. That said, Hilliard should be considered a low-floor flex play in ultra-deep PPR leagues. While Henry is healthy, he's still going to dominate touches, so Hilliard appears to be touchdown-or-bust. He could rack up a ton of receptions when Tennessee is playing from behind, but this is projected to be a close game and his ceiling is limited.
