Texas Christian University running back KenDre Miller (knee) isn't working out at his school's Pro Day on Thursday as he recovers from an MCL injury that he suffered in the semifinal win over Michigan, but he's well ahead of schedule in his recovery and had meetings on Wednesday with the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots. He'll also meet with the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans on Thursday. The 20-year-old's injury may not cause him to fall all that much in April's draft, but it remains to be seen how much he'll be able to do early in his rookie season in 2023. Miller is expected to come off the board on either Day 2 or 3 of the 2023 draft.
Quentin Johnston, Kendre Miller Declare For NFL Draft
Texas Christian University wide receiver Quentin Johnston and running back Kendre Miller officially declared for the 2023 NFL draft on Monday. ESPN projects Johnston as the No. 12 overall prospect for the upcoming draft, with Todd McShay listing him as the top wideout and Mel Kiper ranking him second. He had 60 catches for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns last season while helping the Horned Frogs to the National title game. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder earned first-team All-Big 12 honors for the second straight year. Miller was TCU's leading rusher with 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2022. He sat out the National championship loss to Georgia due to a sprained knee. ESPN has Miller ranked at the No. 155 overall prospect for the 2023 draft.
New York Giants tight end Andre Miller broke his right forearm during the early portion of training camp, an ailment that will almost assuredly land him on the IL. As of Sunday, Miller was still at Giants practice, this time on the sidelines with a cast on his arm. A highly sought-after undrafted free agent from the University of Maine, Miller was attempting to crack into New York's tight end rotation. While Ricky Seals-Jones (undisclosed) was brought aboard to attempt to fill the gap of Evan Engram's departure, the veteran is currently sidelined, paving the way for Daniel Bellinger to step into an elevated role. The Giants seem to be leaving the door open for Miller to return at some point in 2022.
