Bengals Bring In Elijah Holyfield
The Cincinnati Bengals signed running back Elijah Holyfield to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to a source. The Bengals need depth at the position after Samaje Perine tested positive for COVID-19. Joe Mixon (ankle) was also limited in the Week 5 loss to the Green Bay Packers after suffering a low-ankle sprain in Week 4. The Bengals also have promising rookie running back Chris Evans, who figures to see more work behind Mixon in Week 6 if Perine isn't cleared by then. Holyfield, 23, was on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad last year but was released before the regular season this year.
