Linebacker Jayon Brown has agreed to a deal with the Raiders. The 27-year-old played in Tennessee throughout his first five seasons in the league, accumulating 382 total tackles, 9.5 sacks, and four interceptions. He's dealt with injuries throughout the years. However, Brown will have a chance to get some meaningful work in his new home in Vegas. Yet, he'll need to remain healthy if he hopes for a shot to be relevant on the fantasy front.
The Tennessee Titans are re-signing linebacker Jayon Brown to a one-year deal worth $5.25 million on Wednesday, according to a source. Brown turned down other offers to return to a revamped Titans Defense and to reset his market after an elbow injury ruined his 2020 season. Tennessee was unsuccessful in their attempts to trade for J.J. Watt and Benardrick McKinney, so they are settling for a reunion with Brown. The 26-year-old played in just 10 games last season and recorded 76 combined tackles (five for loss), two QB hits, eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one sack. He had a career year in 2019, posting a career-high 105 tackles, eight passes defensed, one interception, a fumble recovery for a touchdown and one sack in 14 starts.
Tennessee Titans linebacker Jayon Brown suffered a dislocated and fractured elbow in Sunday's game against the Ravens and will miss the rest of the 2020 NFL season. Brown has played at least 90 percent of Tennessee's defensive snaps in each game this season, recording 73 tackles, including 43 solo tackles, four tackles for loss, and one sack. Brown's absence is another blow for a struggling Titans Defense.
