Jaguars Sign Josh Pederson
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the signing of free-agent tight end Josh Pederson to an undisclosed deal on Monday. In a corresponding move, the team waived/injured undrafted free-agent tight end Leonard Taylor, and he will revert to Injured Reserve. Pederson has yet to play in an NFL game and was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs before last season. The 25-year-old went undrafted in 2021 out of Louisiana-Monroe. He'll be competing for a spot on Jacksonville's practice squad this summer at training camp as tight end depth behind Evan Engram, rookie Brenton Strange, Luke Farrell, Gerrit Prince and others.
