Joshua Kelley Scores Touchdown In Week 12

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running Joshua Kelley scored his first touchdown since Week 1 on Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills. Kelley only saw 24% of the backfield snaps on Sunday, but did have seven carries for 35 yards. It was nice to see Kelley put together a solid performance, but he remains someone best suited on the waiver wire with Austin Ekeler picking up where he left off in his return from IR and backups Justin Jackson (knee) and Kalen Ballage (ankle) both ahead of Kelley when they are healthy. Kelley will look to stay in the rotation versus the New England Patriots in Week 13.

Joshua Kelley Struggles In Week 10

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Joshua Kelley remained a non-factor in Week 10 versus the Miami Dolphins. Kelley played behind Kalen Ballage in this contest and continues to see a decrease in work with Austin Ekeler (hamstring) and Justin Jackson on IR. Kelley was only able to muster 21 yards on seven carries and had no catches. The rookie drew rave reviews in the offseason, but he has struggled when he has been given opportunities. Even with a favorable matchup against the New York Jets in Week 11, Kelley can be avoided.

Joshua Kelley Continues To See Less Work

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Joshua Kelley continues to struggle in his debut season. The rookie rushed nine time for 28 yards and caught five balls for 31 yards. Kelley opened the season as the Chargers backup, but has quickly slid down the depth chart. Kelley lost action to Troymaine Pope (concussion) in Week 8, but Pope was sidelined with a concussion Sunday. Even though starter Justin Jackson (knee) left Sunday's game after one drive, it was Kalen Ballage who received the bulk of the work out of the backfield and not Kelley. Kelley's continued demotions and likely return of Pope and Jackson in Week 10 and eventual return of Austin Ekeler (hamstring) makes Kelley someone that should be left on the waiver wire.
