JuJu Smith-Schuster Disappears Against Chargers

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught just one of his four targets for seven yards in Sunday's win over the Chargers. Considering Devlin Hodges was starting at quarterback and with Pittsburgh getting out to an early 14-0 lead, the gameplan quickly shifted towards the run game. However, this is two clunkers in the last three games for Smith-Schuster, and he's quickly becoming a touchdown-dependent fantasy option. While the team is on bye in Week 7, a matchup with Miami the following week would be a good game for the USC product to bounce back.

JuJu Smith-Schuster A Low-End WR2 On Sunday

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster will have third-string, rookie quarterback Devlin Hodges throwing to him on Sunday night against the LA Chargers. The third-year pass catcher has really struggled with distracting team's top cornerbacks every week and thus remained relatively quiet. However, a 35-yard touchdown last week is what keeps him in your lineups. While the Chargers allows just 21 fantasy points per game to receivers, Smith-Schuster is due for between five and seven targets every week. He can be considered a low-end WR2 or solid flex play depending on your roster construction.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Fumbles Away Solid Day

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster hauled in seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The USC product had a big 35-yard touchdown in the first quarter, but was relatively quiet after that. Then disaster struck in overtime when Smith-Schuster pulled in his final reception, then had the ball punched out, only for Baltimore to recover and kick the game-winning field goal. With Mason Rudolph (concussion) almost sure to miss some time, the Steelers' top receiver takes a huge hit in fantasy value with Devlin Hodges the presumed "next man up." Smith-Schuster's ceiling is a WR2 in a Week 6 road matchup with the Chargers.
