Malachi Dupre and DeAngelo Yancey Cut by Packers
The Green Bay Packers cut recently drafted players Malachi Dupre and DeAngelo Yancey. The decision to cut their fifth and seventh round selections respectively from the 2017 draft came as a surprise. Neither player evoked much attention in anything other than dynasty leagues. Both wide receivers failed to impress during the preseason, but cutting drafted players in favor of undrafted players is unusual for Green Bay. If you are in a dynasty league you can feel safe dropping both players unless they catch onto a 53 man roster elsewhere. This is moderately good news for the remaining Green Bay receivers. The Packers held onto Jeff Janis and Trevor Davis, both of whom project to have a role on special teams. Each of those players has the ability to utilize their speed to stretch a defense. For whatever limited amount of playing time they get, they will open up the field for Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, and Davante Adams. Neither Janis nor Davis is worth owning in standard fantasy league formats.
